That is a shame but I guess giving state funeral and visiting family after the burial is equally good. Relatives also skip funeral sometimes for various reasons. Anyway, IK is being productive at least he was not on a leisure tour, where absence in funeral would be criminal.

Your confusion is understandable when you Indians are not used to seeing your leader giving any interview.

He was asked questions and he answered them from Pakistani perspective.

The uncomfortable truth here is that countrymen are finding out government policies through interviews conducted for western audience and not through the local reps they selected.

None of what is being said here has made it to a debate in parliament or senate.

Extremely good interview as IK cleared many things. cricket, Islamophobia, putting blame on west and on ourselves where necessary. He talked about Kashmir, Uighurs, Palestine (in fact a lot). He again emphasied on negotiations whether to IEA or TTP.

Don’t they teach you what an interview is in India. Maybe you forgot because your leader has never given one. So for your information one or more persons usually journalists ask questions and the person being asked the questions answers the questions. Obviously he or she will talk about the questions he is asked. Get it? If Imran is not being asked a question on Pakistan, obviously he will not talk about it.

Why is going to a funeral so important? There are many different ways for praying for the souls of the departed. Also how do you know when this interviewed was recorded. Usually they are recorded many days or even weeks earlier.
