A high level meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair in Lahore on Friday decided to impose ban on the use of agricultural land for housing schemes.

According to the Spokesman of Punjab Chief Minister, the meeting also approved a strategy to reduce the use of agriculture land for other purposes.

The Spokesperson said that the Punjab government will now focus on vertical growth in buildings without increasing the ground coverage.

Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Provincial Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rashid and other senior officials attended the meeting.

. . .
Waste of time... Imran Khan should deliver something on ground.
We need to see results on ground.... like clean cities, organized traffic, etc.
Total mismanagement and delays at every construction project.

Great!! I always think about that issue as BD is little. Plus over population is making agricultural land wasted.

In fact, I feel bad if I see that fertile lands are being wasted by making cities.

IK is even trying to fix such important issue which any other previous PM might not even noticed or understood!

IK cares about Pakistan more than any previous PM.

The fertile lands should be ignored for making city.

I think, the new cities should be in the barren lands, and the fertile land should provide foods for those cities.

The precious lands should be used properly.

Great, now industrialize farming

. . .
good decision but we should start also think about how to :

- improve plans of towns/village (there are some "galees" so tight that even evacuatiing a dead person on the bed is impossible (I personaly so it in Sialkot)
- improve rules of constructions (permits, norms...)
- bring clean water in each house/flat
- evacuate used water properly
- how to evacuate rains waters
- improve roads/streets, their lighting
- improve quality of foods
- improve medical system
- improve education
- devise a plan of industrial and economical developpment
etc etc etc..

Task is huge, but I pray Allah helps Imran khan.
