Plans have been underway to accept 500 Hindus who fled into Bangladesh in the wake of the August 25 terrorist attacks launched by ARSA extremists, said Nyi Pu, Rakhine’s Chief Minister.

“We are told that there is a plan to accept 500 Hindus for the first time following negotiations with Bangladesh. For this buildings, are being built in designated places,” the chief minister said.

A delegation led by State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi inspected the places of reacceptance near the friendship bridge of Myanmar and Bangladesh in Taungpyo Letwe, northern Maungdaw on November 2, the chief minister told reporters.
The first priority is to re-accept about 540 Hindus, who would be accommodated in Mingyi village in Maungdaw. The UN’s report said that until October 25, more than 500,000 refugees fled Myanmar into Bangladesh, the chief minister said.
Aung San Suu Kyi said in her meeting with the officials of the Rakhine State Government that the government should step up matters relating to resettlement, rehabilitation and sustainable economic development, the chief minister said.
Aung San Suu Kyi was quoted as saying that this is a region worthy of much progress along with resettlement, rehabilitation and sustainable economic development.
“If the government tries in full swing, the region will develop and it will be stable rapidly. Our existing tasks are to reap the paddy and accommodate the refugees,” she reportedly said.

Aung San Suu Kyi asked Rakhine State Government officials, Union Ministers and businesspeople accompanying her to negotiate these matters.

Accompanied by Dr Win Myat Aye, Vice-Chairman of the Committee for the Union Enterprise for humanitarian Assistance, Resettlement and Development in Rakhine, Minister Lt-Gen Kyaw Swe, Minister Lt-Gen Ye Aung, Minister Thein Swe, Deputy Minister Min Thu, business tycoons like Zaw Zaw, Pyae Phyo Teza, Nan Hlaing Kham and other governmental officials, Aung San Suu Kyi inspected Maungdaw, Pandawpyin, Khonetai (Mro) Ywathit, Taungpyo Letwe and Kyeekanpyin.

Upon arrival at Taungpyo Letwe, Aung San Suu Kyi looked into the site where the refugees would be accommodated and she instructed that those who return must be sent to their native places as soon as possible.

After meeting with Rakhine State Government officials at the Sittwe airport lounge, Aung San Suu Kyi instructed the officials to practice three ways – diplomatic approach, development and construction, and security – to firmly construct the border fence, to systematically accept those who are returning and to reap the paddy rapidly.

Hope BD does not facilitate this propaganda exercise by Barmans. Hindus should only go back as part of a general agreement.

Didn't we hear they did not accept the ten points we had proposed, and which were quite reasonable?

Then what's the point of talking for the sake of talk?

They need some good old-fashioned trade sanctions a la North Korea....

Keep dreaming loser. It gets vetoed by China, yer "best" friend :D

resonable for what.. ? who will accept intervene from other country like making safe zone with Foreign force.? if u want , do it yourselves in BD land.

. . .
send barmi and bengali hindus to berma and india then give land to Rohingya.

Suit yourself - the sanctions are on the way. :-)
lol this sanction is just like suspend the military operation and arm embergo against military. which was already happened since last decade. not economic sanction. so nothing new. the best part of this crisis for Myanmar is our leaders now clearly know to repair its foreign policy and will improve relation with China and India in future which also actually should be.
the truth will be appeared as we dont do any genocide or blah blah. :D
so chill... this sanction wont have so much affect after all. :D

Russia and China will never let happen a UNSC sponsored Sanction it will be if ever a US sponsored Sanction comes ,even it cannot make other countries party to it without UNSC approval ,so Myanmar is kind of accustomed to it before the Tatamadaw agreed for power sharing and elections ,it was like that.

If an under-developed country like Myanmar wants to increase its Economy it will have to export Goods to Europe and USA. It wont help if sanctions come from that direction. Export Oriented Russia, India and China wont import or donate money to Myanmar.
