30余年劈波斩浪，30余年光辉历程。5月15日上午，旅顺某军港码头，北部战区海军某驱逐舰支队官兵整齐列队，为即将同时退役的国产第一代导弹驱逐舰开封舰、大连舰、遵义舰和桂林舰隆重举行退役仪式。四艘战舰服役均超过30年，航迹遍布祖国万里海疆，有效履行了维护祖国统一、保卫国家海洋权益的神圣使命，为海军现代化建设立下赫赫战功。
铁打的营盘，流水的“兵”。伴随着雄壮的国歌声，退役仪式正式开始。某驱逐舰支队领导宣读了四艘驱逐舰退役命令。“降军旗!敬礼!”随着一声令下，军旗缓缓降落，支队官兵向功勋战舰行最后一个军礼，四艘军舰在支队官兵的不舍和留恋中正式退出人民海军战斗序列。
该型导弹驱逐舰是我国自行设计建造的第一代大中型水面舰艇，他们的服役具有划时代意义，标志着中国工业的兴起，标志着中国海军的崛起;今天，他们退出战斗序列，同样具有划时代意义，标志着强军兴军步伐加快迈进，标志着海军转型建设势不可挡。

大连舰，服役34年，多次被上级机关评为基层建设先进单位，荣立集体二等功。
遵义舰，服役34年，曾常年战斗在军事斗争一线，是一把固守海疆的刀锋利剑。
桂林舰，服役31年，发射50余枚导弹零失误，是各项战备演训任务的“常胜将军”。
