they have a big shipyard they can do it simultaneously..........both contracts(IN one and the export order) are independent and will be delivered within dates specified within the contracts.................

Its probably the Saryu Class, since Pipavav is building 5 of these for the Indian Navy too.

Probably the same as ICG patrol boats (costal security, SAR...), with the difference that these are better armed and might have more range.

if it is then can pipapav sell the our navy designed ship to foriegn countries without our government permission

4 at Goa , 5 at Pippav

Saryu class wont be exported Coz its tech is a bit too sensitive

Most likely it would be a more weaponized version of the 2200 Ton Sankalp class of ICG

It really depends on the senario

Current Sukanya class OPV operated by IN are meant for offshore surveilance and Patrol , and are fairly well equipped for Surface warfare
However some of them are modified to Launch Dhanush Land Attack Ballistic Missiles
If Indian Navy decides to set fire to Karachi Harbor once again

They can look after the security of our coast and they can also be armed wiafter short term requirements for offensive purpose.
for medical evacutions also we can use them.

OPVs are used to patrol areas out of coast-guard range(Exceptions are there). They have greater range with more advanced tech.
