What's new

PIA generates 144 billion revenue, good days came

. . .
Revenue is an irrelevant figure when devoid of context --- what was the profit?

If revenue is 10x this but operating expenses are 20x, that's still a loss.
There is still a loss, but loss has reduced from 40b to 17b..... It's all in the video.

And you cannot wave a magic wand and make billions of loss into a profit. Takes years of time and effort, atleast things are improving year-on-year rather than deteriorating as was the case previously.

I never insinuated that you can wave a magic wand. And I'm truly glad that operational losses have greatly reduced.

I was referring to devoid-of-context headlines and post titles such as this (mentioning just revenue.)

Somethings can’t be fixed due to it’s structure. Sell it for pennies on the dollar to prevent any further loses. Sell it to Malaysia or Turkey or any of there buyer as soon as possible.

Exactly, you are right. Here as per available figures the reducing gap between profit and loss is encouraging, though still in loss but that seems to be a positive sign. If the trend continues soon our national carrier will be out of debts and will start to churn profits - In-Shaa-Allah.

Also anybody remember how paid media and patwaris made an issue of the inflight entertainment contract given to a local company. The media alleged that the contract was given to Arshad Malik's friend.

Turns out every single PPRA rule was followed to the tee. The company put in a bid for Rs 700 million (0.7b) while the next lowest bidder was Rs 2.7 billion nearly 4 times more. The lowest bidder was also an indigenous effort while the others were foreign. The owner of the local company is an ex-PAF WC and has years of experience developing indigenous avionics for all the jets in the PAF fleet from the Mirages to the Thunders and everything in between.

Don't believe me? Well watch this video from Arshad Sharif from the 41:00 minute

This is how the mafia works, they cannot see even an iota of improvement in the country. No wonder the Supreme Cunt removed Arshad Malik.

without increasing revenue u cant reduce this loss. and for that u need more aircraft atleast 10 more .

No its not..higher the revenues the more likely the losses will be down
