Shouldn't the police be doing that anyway? If the PM is going to order arrests in day to day cases, what is the purpose of police officers?
You are right in a sense. Why the radio silence? It seems like a govt official was being blackmailed, the pm should at least make a statement. This is an extra ordinary case.
Hi,
You are correct---pakistani FIA should have taken action---but the system is on a rot---.
Someone from the top needs to push start it---start giving orders---telling the law enforcement agency what they are supposed to do---.
This is a major case of sedition and creating chaos and restlessness in the country---.
The criminals have gotten so ruthless and brutal---that they setup a honey trap on a judge who indicted them---that in itself is a massive crime---.
I think that it is about time that IK declare a state of emergency in the country---.
Who knows how many people are being blackmailed by seduction & making videos. Silence of government is irony!
I think there are many victims.
Hi,
First of all---it would not have happened---no criminal dare do that in the US---.
If someone was that stupid to do it---the judge just had to call the FBI---and the FBI would have nabbed the suspects---.
Hi,
And that is a crime by the state against its citizens---.
There have been lots of cases of sex-based blackmail in the US, including of Presidents.
Secondly, I don't think the PM needs to intervene in a matter that the NAB itself can take of (file a reference/FIR against her in the local police station + involve the FIA.) The Interior Minister can make a statement, if he wants.
Finally, such blackmail is extremely common and one of the major tools used by American intel to keep our leaders enslaved. Their NSA/SIGINT teams have access to everything from their affairs to their shady money laundering. This is why our leadership never really takes the hard decisions necessary to improve our country. This goes for civ and mil.
Peace.
