Today is International Persons with Disabilities Day (PwD) - @ImranKhanPTI will be meeting with PwD in KPK today #PTIempoweringPWD

PTI's PWD policy includes establishment of "Disability Resource Commission" for #PWD at the Federal and Provincial level #PTIempoweringPWD

Disability Resource Centers" to be established at District level to coordinate with Disability Resource Commission. #PTIempoweringPWD

Disability Resource Centers will also coordinate with local NGOs and other international organizations.

DRC will coordinate with Disability Resource Commission in areas of counseling, education,health issues,job placement etc #PTIempoweringPWD

Of 1.28 million children with disabilities in Pakistan (likely much more) only 1.7% go to a Special Needs School #PTIempoweringPWD

The PTI Policy for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) aims to educate Pakistan about conditions such as Autism and Aspergers #PTIempoweringPWD

PTI only party in Pakistan to have a complete policy for people with disabilities #PTIempoweringPWD

@Leader, brilliant Thread, the only man and Party who seriously credit and thinks people with disabilities are the manpower and effective useful resource of Pakistan, these are also our honorable people.

I think PTI should device a working plan to shape future infrastructure development keeping in mind needs of special people.

secondly, to make them functional part of social life, they should be facilitated in every manner possible,

thirdly, work out on changing the mindset, they are not any less or cursed by Allah, they are exactly like us, humans...

fourth, must arrange more and more events to highlight their importance, arrange sport events, jobs etc.

I think such events are really beneficial in terms of bringing special people to the forefront and changing the perception of people towards them but it shouldn't be a one time event the more we see them active in various fields the more we would be able to break free from some of the taboos that exist regarding them in our society. An excellent step indeed. God bless them.
