People assume Muslims hate Hindus in Pakistan, I am living proof that this is not true

After India’sGurmehar Kaur’s video propagating the message of peace and giving up hatred for Muslims went viral, the Kargil martyr’s daughter has influenced Pakistanis to replicate the same.

Pakistani Hindu Sachanand Arya

A Pakistani Hindu has taken a leaf out of Gurmehar’s book by recording a similar silent video and conveying his message of peace through a bunch of placards.

Sachanand Panu Arya is a proud Pakistani Hindu and has recorded a short video dispel the truth that the religious minorities suffered discrimination in the neighbouring Islamic republic.

This is what his message reads, “Namaste, Salam. I’m Pakistani. I’m Hindu. I love Pakistan. I don’t hate anybody. I want to live in peace. People assume that there are no Hindus in Pakistan.

“People assume that Muslims hate Hindus. I am living proof that this is not true. Pakistan has Hindu judges, army officers, traders, pandits. Pakistan has over 2,000 working Hindu temples. “

Like Gurmehar, Arya too ends his video message with #ProfileForPeace.

Last week, when the Kargil martyr’s daughter recorded the video, her video was viewed by over a million times on Facebook before thesocial media giant decided to suspend the page that carried the video.

This is a myth spread by anti-Pakistan elements that seek to project this country in a constant negative light. Surely, there are problems regarding certain minority groups which needs to be sorted out. Nevertheless, Pakistan is no different in this regard as opposed to any other countries.

Hindus and Sikh esp are in abundance in many businesses in Pakistan and there is no discrimination of any sort. Never have i seen any Sikh or Hindu sidelined or maligned bcz of his beliefs. Rana Bhagwan Das was one glittering example. Many from Capital wud know Dr Jay Parkash who is a renowed pead in PIMS and U have to wait for weeks to get an appointment from his private clinic in capital and this is not the end. As a matter of fact our preferred shops at Karkhano Market in Peshawar are ones run by Sikhs.

If true, it is very good. People and particularly neighbors shold like each other for cordial relations. Infact , each man should like other man.

However, My experience on PDF is totally different. I can sense how Pakistani friends hate indians and Hindu in particular.

The Last Hindu of Pakistan sat quietly in a room......then suddenly there was a knock on the door!!

And it was a curry suckers spreading filth.

That was a literary quote of worth DesertF bro and quite a good one actually!
" The last man on Earth sat alone in a room. There was a knock on the door..."
is the shortest science-fiction story ever written. It's by Fredric Brown.

I haven't seen the other 16 messages by Kim but on that one alone he merits
an accolade more than a flipping. Just sayin'

All the best to you and yours, Tay.

P.S. Two remarks about
- the Pakistani Hindu's vid, how about adding a soft music soundtrack;
- if more of these personal initiatives spring up, it could give peace a ...
better soil to grow in, a chance as said someone.

Erm who said we hate Hindus? One of our most respected Supreme Court judges in recent years was Rana Bhagwandas. The man was even Chief Justice of Pakistan for a brief period. One of the leading fashion designers in Pakistan is a man called Deepak Parwani. We have Hindu academics like Bhawani Shankar Chowdry and even Hindu feudal families ruling over large populations of Muslims such as the Sodha Rajputs of Umerkot. Just because some Pakistanis over the internet have said derogatory things about Hindus does not give you the right to generalize all Pakistanis as people who hate "Indians and Hindu in particular".

Edit: Our leading wicket taker in Test cricket is a Hindu aka Danish Kaneria.

It's not even 1% of the hate Indians show towards Pakistanis in their own forums, so please spare us the hypocrisy.

How did you derive that interesting figure of 1%? Fact is that Pakistan it self was created out of hatred for hindus. You are talking as if you are the only sane guy and others are fool.

It's heartening to watch that but nonetheless we should treat our ethnic and religious minorities along with all vulnerable segments of the society such that they not only feel equal but priveleged members of our society for that and only that is the true measure of a society's greatness....military and economic might are merely a means towards that end.

And we've got a long way to go before we can achieve that.

I know that some tarces have still remained in Pakistan after changing all Hindu names and killing all indian languages. At the time of independence, many areas were named on Hindu saints, and social reformers. Gujarati was spoken in sindh. All this is been systematically been destroyed. You quote few name of Hindus on some important positions butwe know that a Hindu can never be your PM , President or Army chief.

Anyway i would like it very much if there is no discriminations. However, the hindus who come here and refuse to go back to Pakistan tells the differnt stories.

Awesome and very impressive.

The stuff that your fellow Indians spew on your forums, it's a blot on human race that such people exist.

Fact is that Pakistan it self was created out of hatred for hindus.

You mean the 'fact' which the gentleman in the op is refuting?
