The content, Pemra maintains, would be especially problematic if it accuses the military of something, tarnishes its "image", or if it encourages anyone to take extra-constitutional measures.

The press release stated, "Those found in violation of the new Pemra guideline would be charged under Section 27 of the Pemra Ordinance 2002."

On Thursday, the Pemra chairman was assured of the Army chief's support in dealing with threats that the media watchdog employees were allegedly facing.

Pakistanis are bewildered Nation. I bet most of those supporting Military takeover or Military influence over Politics are the ones who'd oppose it afterwards having democratic orgee.
Currently i oppose the Government policies along with COAS Role. But that's the job of our elected Prime Minister who we chose for representation to fix the issues and make sure that the Integrity is standing tall. Generals are never a solution. Their involvement would only corrupt the Military once they get into Civil Affairs. We need a proper Civilian leader with a little shame inside who can Honestly play his role to control both the Military Head and Civil Affairs.

I remember Major Amir Khan's answer when he was asked during a Military Trial accused for Conspiring against BB Govt along with Brig Billa after Operation Midnight Jackal that why did they tried to bring NS in power?
