Not giving the provisioned Fed. funds out of revenge and vendetta...the govt. has totally lost it and this would have a longterm bad repercussions and GB is a sensitive area, so is ex. FATA region where the required funds are not coming.

All your talented minds and competent people do not get a chance to reach important positions or flourish.

This is what happens with a society that values the most extreme form of nepotism and rejects meritocracy.

You get half-rotten corposes as your national institutions that cannot achieve anything worthwhile. They are a bunch of clowns running things like a circus with no care in the world for the consequences. Literally just the most corrupt boomers with half-functioning brains that don't care for the task they are assigned to do.

Pakistan has a disease at the societal up to the national level that is killing it from the inside.

You could find average patriotic civilians in Pakistan to completely replace them and I guarantee they would be better for us in the long term.

I think that's a bad idea. Prices will increase (no subsidies or price control), blame for shortages shifted on ethnic divides, provinces with lower rates of development will fall further behind because of a lack of ability to generate revenue.

I think it harms the federation.

I don't think the current model works that well either tbh. Why should the federal govt be able to hold back funds?!

Yh they need funding, but if it it is unaffordable federally it should be lowered accordingly but completely cancelling it does not sound like a good idea.

Yes true, the federation is weaker with provinces now kind of a deFacto separate states.

All the local taxes, tariffs, local bodies funds need to be earned by the provinces and make themselve sustainable. KPK and GB can earn big through Hydel Power royalty, other resources.

And federation keeping the Education, Health, Housing and some other strategic depts. within herself. And defence too, now the provinces like Sindh interior and Balochistan gets the funds but all is pilfered to the ministers/sardars accounts.

Karachi gets nothing from NFC and major chunk is syphoned.
