PCB's income in 2019 surged by 108%: report
The income of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) surged by 108.45% in 2019 as compared to the earnings the year prior, Associated Press of Pakistan reported on Thursday.
The board generated a total income of Rs10.696 billion in 2019 while it's earnings in 2018 stood at Rs5.131bn.
According to the breakup, the PCB generated income through different channels, including tours and tournaments, sponsorship and logos, return on investments and bank deposits and other sources.
Income of the PCB, through tournaments, increased by 124%, which included tours inside and outside of the country.
A sum of Rs9.690bn was made through tournaments in 2019 against the income of Rs4.325bn in 2018.
Furthermore, income through sponsorship and logos increased by 16% in 2019 when compared to the income under these heads in 2018.
In 2019, the PCB earned Rs238.02 million through sponsorship and logo while in 2018 its income under the same head was at Rs204.99mn.
