KHYBER AGENCY - The forces and administration authorities through a notice have asked Pakistani nationals to produce their passport and visa while entering Pakistan at Torkham border.

Signed by the Commandant Khyber Rifles and Assistant Political Agent (APA) Landi Kotal, the notice that was pasted on all public places in Landi Kotal and Torkham read that after January 31, 2017 no Pakistani citizen would be allowed to cross the border into Pakistan without having legal travelling documents.

The notice also read that those find violating the law will be dealt according.

Earlier, the Pakistani nationals who used to produce their national identity cards at Torkham border on return from Afghanistan were permitted to enter Pakistan. The administration official while confirming the new policy told that the initiative had been adopted to regularise the border movement.

The tribesmen felt their regret over the implementation of passport and visa rules on the local tribals. They said if imposed, it would suspend their ties with relatives in the border towns of Afghanistan. Malik Darya Khan Afridi said that on both sides of the border, residents have blood relations and in case of attending a funeral or other social gathering, they have to seek visa of Afghanistan for a brief visit of an hour or two. He endorsed every single policy regarding border management but he asked to formulate pro-tribal rules and regulations on the Torkham border.

Malik Abdurrazaq, another tribal elder, while expressing his view on the matter said that the local tribesmen would be more affected by the decision. He demanded of the authorities to provide relief to the tribesmen while implementing passport and visa formalities. The tribal elders also comprised a nominated elder jirga, which would meet the commandant Khyber Rifles in few days to apprise him of their reservations. Since the creation of Pakistan, the local tribesmen have been exempted of passport and visa regulations by Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Some procedure needs to be adopted to cater the tribesmen. They may suffer because of this new procedure.

The date as Jan, 31 seems fair for the arrangements and rules to be implemented for betterment. However, the same Law would effect daily life routine people from both sides visiting their relatives on either side but the same advantage has been utilized by the adversary to send their assets/terrorists under such disguise and after few days/months, everything would be normal for the tribesmen by following the newly implemented Law which itself is for their and Nation's safety and security in long run.

In past, such exceptions favoured a lot our adversary and damaged us more so it is the time for necessary measures to be taken in due time and without any loophole for the safety though Agents are in panic since the day of new implementations and security measures, as the same we want them to feel it and be mistaken in desperation for an easy hunt.

Expect a protest from Afghanistan side very soon in this regard, war lords, drug dealers, smugglers, traffickers and Agents/Assets being hurt due to this Law, will be demonstrating a protest on border and there will be Peace Brokers jumping from here & there while touting Aman Ki Asha.

. . . . .
Yeah having a system in place and people not following is totally unacceptable but it took Pakistan very long to be strict and place such a system
lakeen der aaey, magar darust aaey

It is good in a way, despite all those sufferings we did afford them ample opportunity to mend their relations with us but sadly they chose to side with the deluded. Now that we have started to end one sided love story may be they will realise our existence.

. . .
Our border forces should be ready. The Afghans will undoubtedly start firing any time (and then cry about Pakistani oppression afterwards once they have been silenced down of course).

This time around we need to be fully prepared and give a response they will never ever forget. In fact, it would become part of their curriculum.

.
Good.

As for tribes, they need to understand that the peace they are enjoying now will no longer be if such measures are not implemented.

.
See now this makes sense, no more free 'brotherly' entries into Pakistan.

The orders are for Pakistani nationals who want to cross over to Afghanistan. These orders were issued by the political agent two days back.

Now any Pakistani who goes to Afghanistan through Torkham border will have to through passport and visa.

Welcome Afghanistan to a new reality.

Not shouting, screaming and barking now are you?

Another great achievement accomplished during the tenure of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. No other President, Prime Minister or a Tyrant could even do this yet they spoke like poets and philosophers.

Mubarrak to all Pakistanis.
