Parvez Elahi to become CM Punjab - PTI

The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has announced PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as its candidate for Punjab chief minister, the party formally announced.

In a message on Twitter, the prime minister's aide on political communication, Shahbaz Gill, made the announcement.

I'm with IK as long as he keeps PPMLUI mix achar away from power.

I agree its very necessary to keep these evil doers away from getting into federal government, some are saying its better to let the opposition come in power, but I disagree with that assessment, the opposition will make it very difficult to let PTI win in next elections and by the way EVM voting will be out of the window if they come in power again at federal level.

Well he is considered the best CM Punjab till date even by PTI supporters

Can call him anything but people still respect him for his work

But his performance will get vote for pml q not pti

I think there will be an agreement for the seats in the coming election if at all. PTI is gaining ground fast in central Punjab, there is plenty of PML N vote bank to go around. He wont be cutting into PTI but PMLN

He was usman buzdar of his time jaisay usman har kam Imran Khan k kehnay pa karta ha yeh musharaf k kehnay pa karta tha. Credit of development in 2000s goes to musharaf. And punjab k 90 percent sa ziada log iska name bhi nahi jantay

Pervaiz Ilahi Lol? He's pretty popular my dear. LOL, I walked in the metro from Shama west to Amr Chungi Sidhu, Lahore 3 months back. There was a fight going on. The contestants were Shehbaz, IK, and Pervaiz Illahi and occasionally someone would throw Zia Ayub and Zardari inbetweeen. People still remember what he did. Infact they see it every day. It got pretty heated, almost came to blows, IK won By the time I got off it was ringing with Pakistan Zindabad.

ts better to announce early elections rather than offering CMship to these sold-ables. I have no comment on whatsoever going on btw Q and PTI but making Buzdhar CM of Punjab was the biggest blunder. If you want to rule Pakistan you have to rule Punjab with a strong CM that has or should've serious competence level in controlling bureaucracy.

BTW, while Pervez Elahi is a 'Lota' but he is a far better administrator then Buzdar ever could be.

Even IF Supreme Court does not rule for life-time ban and dissidents vote against IK, Speaker might refuse to count them.

Buzdar was blunder which IK was stubbornly not ready to accept. He damaged PTI most in Punjab, should have gone long ago. Unless PTI have plan of seat adjustment again iwith Q in next election this compromise will cost PTI. But still its better than gang of choors coming back
