Hey so I just caught this movie last week, anyone else seen it? I thought it was pretty good, here were my pro's and con's (without spoilers)

Pro's

-NO TOP GUN FOOTAGE and all original (Can't tell you how relieved I was fearing they would show those exploding enemy migs from Top Gun like the did in the drama serials Shahpar and Sherdils)

-Very decent footage of Pak F-16's and JF-17s AND the fact that they used JF-17's in the dogfights

-Original storyline and again little to none copied from Top Gun

-Good acting and comedy bits

-Songs were good too, 4 background songs and one dance song which were enjoyable

-Decent run time of 2 hours, so not as dragging as any 3hr bollywood film

-EXCELLENT cinematography

Cons

-Script, couple of the lines and scenes were really cheesy, could have done without them

-CGI graphics, although for the most part the airplane footage was good especially in the dogfights, a couple of scenes especially near the end started using CGI a lot for some of the planes which looked crappy

-COULD have used a little bit more jetfighter action

Overall though I liked it, and have to say that while residing in Canada, it was very pleasing and heartening to see the cinemas here fully packed even a week after it was released and people enjoying and applauding the movie after the credits, brings great hope for our industry and just shows the talent and potential that we have. What did you guys think?

Pro. I liked that it was a coming of age story for a young woman. A military movie with a female lead, who is not just the love interest. Hamza Ali Abbasi was a supporting character.

I agree with the CGI bit. The shoot down story was concocted. F16 or Thunders never fly so low and with the PGM and sensor suit they carry, they don’t need to.

my mother Watch it yesterday with her sister, she says its good movie ..

I heard it is a good movie. They have Hamza Abasi in it.

Excellent movie. People who are bashing it on social media are on the whole of the "forces hating" type so they will have gripes about it no matter how good a movie it is.
My biggest pro is that it has a proper developed story line and script unlike WAAR or Yalghaar.
Second there is no jingoism unlike WAAR & Yalghaar which were both chock full of it.
Third the movie has an awesome soundtrack especially the song Mein Urra (I have it on repeat in my car since the day it was released in full on Patari & your bhabi has resigned to not having her coke studio playlist on)
Fourth the acting by everyone is top notch. No overacting whatsoever.
Fifth a strong female lead.
Sixth a close to life portrayal of family life in a forces household, how a father has to go even if he doesn't want to and how a wife has to cope with the fear of is he coming back or isn't he every time a pilot flies. (People on SM had issues with this like "How can he choose to go on a mission over being with his preggo wife yada yada")
Biggest cons rather the only cons for me were some overly cheesy dialogues (Jab dharti pukarti hae tu or kuch sunai nahi deta!!!) and some patchy editing which let the narrative down in some areas.
Over all a must watch a decent 7.5/10 for normal movie goers and a whopping 9.5/10 if you are an aviation geek like me & have seen the PAF life up close but not lived it.

i didnt watch the movie just the trailer . what sort of culture they are promoting in paf these days? lady officers dancing wearing vulgar dresses? shame.
