The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday decided to file four references in the accountability courts of Islamabad and Rawalpindi in compliance of the Supreme Court judgment announced July 28, 2017, regarding the Panama Papers case.

The references will be prepared on the basis of the material collected and referred by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in its report and some other material as may be available with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and NAB having nexus with the assets in the below mentioned cases or which might subsequently become available including material that may become available in pursuant to the mutual legal assistance requests sent by JIT to different jurisdictions.

1. a) Reference relating to the Avenfield Properties (Flat No.16 and 16-A, 17 and 17-A Avenfield House, Park Lane, London, United Kingdom).
2. b) Reference relating to the establishment of Azizia Steel Company and Hill Metal Company.
3. c) Reference relating to the companies mentioned in paragraph 9 of the judgment.
4. d) Reference relating to respondent No.10 for possessing assets beyond his known sources of income.

The officers concerned were directed for an efficient and professional handling of the entire process in the laid down time limit. NAB Balochistan Director General (DG) Irfan Naeem Mangi given the responsibility of implementing the Supreme Court’s July 28 order on the Panama Papers case.

Aaj express tribune main jo article aaya hai..us main Irfan Mangi ka koi zikr nahi..aur NAB ki official press release main bhi Irfan Mangi ki transfer ka koi zikr nahi... Channel 24 par abhi aaraha tha kr NAB 2 references Rwp aur 2 Lhr main file karey gi... NAB Rwp ne 5 officers select bhi kar liye hain.. Un main Irfan Mangi ka naam kahin nahi tha aur na ye hi news thee..ke unhein DG NAB Rwp lagaaya jaraha hai.. Kahin kisi ne jaan boojh kar tu channels ko subah main woh rumor spread nahi ki thee? @PakSword confirm kar ke batayein...? Aur SC ne tu kaha tha ke ye saaray references Isb/Rwp main file karein jab ke ab aarha hai ke NAB 2 ref Lahore main..aur 2 Rwp main file karay gi..kiun? Ika kiya maqsad hosakta hai?
Abhi tak CJ ne monitoring judge bhi appoint nahi kiya.. Samajh nahi aaraha ke kiun? @Emmie do have any idea..what could be the reason tht CJ still hasnt appointed monitoring judge?

TBH I don't find any authenticity in news related to Irfan Mangi. Another controversy will emerge if he's appointed for the job, in fact he shouldn't be appointed, let the trial be free from controversies. As for the constitution of monitoring bench, I think it'll take some time, a week or two.

Yahan tu keh rahay hian ke NAB will file all four references in Isn /Rwp jab ke abhi kuch min pehle Channel 24 par aaraha tha ke 2 ref Rwp main honge aur 2 lahore main.. Aur ye ke NAB Rwp ne officers select bhi kar liye hain.. Woh naam main ne dekhay thay..un main tu Irfan Mangi ka koi zikr nahi tha.. Jab ke SC ne kaha tha ke sab Rwp/Isl main file kiye jayein.. Ab pata nahi ye 2 ref Lahore main kiun karrahay hain? Lahore main hosakta hai ke sharif family ki marzi ke judge bethay hon?

Aaj din main channels par press release aarahi thee..NAB ki.. Us main references ka zikr tha..lekin Irfan Mangi ki transfer /posting ka koi zikr nahi gha..

As for the constitution of monitoring bench, I think it'll take some time, a week or two.

Why? Verdict Friday ko aaya tha.. I thought by today(Monday) monitoring judge should have been appointed... Atar monitoring judge appoint honay main itna delay hua..t baqi cheezein bhi delay hoti jayein gi.. Why should it take one or two weeks? Ek judge hi tu appoint hona hai

I don't find any logic behind Mangi's appointment, Sharif family raised a lot objections on him, I don't think NAB will appoint him.

I dont think so.. NAB ki working bhi tu monirot karni hai.. NAB jo references file karay gi within 6 weeks..us par bhi tu check raihna hai.. Aur ye bhi ke waqayi 6 weeks main references file kar dein.. Ye monitoring judge tu is verdict ki implementation ke liye hai.. Ye tu fauran appoint hona chahye

I think ..Irfan Mangi is the most logical choice as he knows this case, inside out.. Warna tu chairman NAB apni pasand ke officers select kar lein ge.. Will anyone be able to trust them?

Aur ye bhi ke waqayi 6 weeks main references file kar dein.. Ye monitoring judge tu is verdict ki implementation ke liye hai.. Ye tu fauran appoint hona chahye

I got news on Friday from ISL that it was decided to appoint Mangi. I was happy. I shared the info here. But today when I heard the same news, and I carefully thought about it.. it seemed to me a very poor decision. Even Mangi didn't want to handle the case.

Anyway, for me, it's a good news (and perhaps for Mangi too )

By the way, press release doesn't mention any names.. So maybe Mangi has been appointed. His appointment has been confirmed by many channels..

Exactly! We don't know the names of officials appointed as of now, we'll find out anyway.
