According to a BBC world service poll in 2017, 85% indians expressed a negative view for Pakistan.

Another Pew Research Poll in 2017 showed 63% indians supporting more military force on Kashmiris.

This was back in 2017.

According to TRT, an overwhelming majority of indians on social media unstintingly supported 5th August 2019 crackdown on Kashmir with most indians targeting Kashmiri women in a horrendous display of misogyny.

A long list of brutal terrorist attacks in Pakistan directly sponsored by the indian state and the most recent one which is still being heavily downplayed, continue. What if the Chinese delegation had been targeted? This could have jeopardize CPEC.

Quetta attack was never even trending but Pakistanstandswithindia was. Why?

Even President Obama's book mentions "The quickest route to national unity in India is expressing hostility toward Pakistan".

One is forced to ask as to why Pakistanis are going over the top to show sympathy to a people who despise Pakistanis themselves? From common people to Shoaib Akhtars to other celebrities to even the PM of Pakistan expressed his sympathy.

What could be the reason for this extreme behavior? Check out below

Could it be that Pakistani society across the board be it anyone, is generally is so morally broken that it tries to feel good in helping an incorrigible enemy while completely ignoring its own people be it in any part of Pakistan and Ilegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK)?

It's nothing but perception building.

Pakistanis are suffering from a bad perception about them built by India and the world that they want to show others they are good people.

You can say, the people who are involved in such trends are also suffering from inferiority complex. They feel good when 1 in 100 Indians thank them.... even if 99 still make a mockery of the offer being made out of desperation.

Sadly our liberals suffer from this inferiority complex the most.

Perceptions are at their root grounded in reality. The actions of Pakistanis, not those of India and others build the perception of Pakistan.

This is percolating into the leadership. This is shaping a defeatist mentality I link bury the past comments with it.

Solution is needed.

I don't think that's necessarily true, the vast majority are not showing support because of some 'inferiority complex' rather because of genuine concern as a result of the news, images and videos coming out of India with the mass funerals, people dying whilst queuing to get into overcrowded hospitals and the general dystopia currently there.

My personal view: the vast majority of Pakistanis, whilst they do care about Kashmir and want there to be a plebiscite and for it to eventually get sorted, because it's such an existential issue and how entrenched it's been within the national thinking, it is always in the backburner until an incident or an issue arises which brings it to the forefront. That's when most of Pakistan wakes up to the issue of Kashmir. Whereas on PDF, as well as those people who have ties to Kashmir, they are more informed on the daily occurrences in the region and are aware of what the fascist Modi regime is doing there - hence what is present here in terms of POV, is perhaps on the more extreme end of the opinion spectrum especially when considering the importance of the Covid situation currently for the general Pakistani public.

Finally, for all their faults, Pakistani people are generous, kind-hearted and loving - so seeing such affliction upon the ordinary general public in India has evoked a strong humanitarian response from Pakistan.

We have a very bad perception of Indians.. because of how it has been helping anti Pakistani forces around Pakistan.

India just took advantage of post 9/11 situation, when most of the western countries got indulged in islamophobia... and Pakistan being a Muslim country gave enough fuel to India to take full advantage of the situation.

Pre 9/11, no one was even bothered about what Indians and Pakistanis would think about each other.

Regarding Kashmir, that struggle will continue whether our side of liberals continue with the stupid trends on twitter.

Agree.. Imran Khan was the last person I thought would do something like this.

Remember how Modi has paved the way towards destruction while trying to create positive perception. What India received in response? Inaccessibility towards vaccine RMs and no entry..

We are talking about perceptions in countries other than in India and Pakistan. Those perceptions are grounded in events, like that of ObL being found in Pakistan, of people of Pakistani descent being involved in terror crimes.

You are trying to pass off global perceptions of Pakistan being what they are to just being Muslim. They're not. They are grounded in the actions committed by the Pakistani state and people.

I believe more than 70% of twitter handles supporting this hashtag are Indians -pretending to be Pakistanis - as usual.

Global perceptions are getting better day by day and the time is not far when Pakistan will be seen like it was in pre 9/11 era.

The final nail in the coffin is the US departure from Afghanistan.

And no, except India, I don't think any other country has termed Pakistan a sponsor of terrorism.

Problem with Indians is that they believe what Indian media shows them.. same problem is with Pakistani liberals who think that world sees Pakistan with Indian eyes.

You lot need to stop being so dumb. It's politics, presenting yourself in a good light. IK could have said nothing, but he benefits by offering good wishes, it makes him appear humane.

Only an arse hole says bad things about someone when they're suffering. Indians are arse holes - that's why they whole world hates thier online bakht army. Don't behave like the arse holes next door. Its basic humanity - you've all been taught that at home.

India toke advantage of post 9/11 world by portraying itself as victim. Otherwise their history of ethnic cleansing in IoK will not be forgotten despite west current support to it because of islamophobia. With so called WOT days behind us, expect world to see India like it really is.

Why so full of hate? Im sure majority of those poor suffering indians have no say or power over their govt policies. In the end its just poor humans dying a tragic way and i think this shows Pakistanis have higher moral value and have more respect for humanity. We will fight till death but we have soft hearts and will show empathy to the poors. Isnt this what Islam teaches? Ultra nationalists should keep a lid on their hatred, we dont want to become a hateful and blind nation like india. We are much better.
