71 tehsils of Punjab are in red, or pink (as in they have a growth rate at or below 1%)

Karachi's population also saw a 15% decline

Although Some are already questioning the legitimacy of this census

How's this possible if 71 districts allegedly saw at or below 1% growth yet overall Punjab saw around 16% growth

@M. Sarmad

How did Balochistan almost double in population?

Maybe? ...

Bro Punjab actually has just 36 districts (now 42). You might have confused tehsils with districts. Also, the list you mentioned seems to be incomplete since it only includes 33 districts and doesn't mention places like DG Khan, Bhakkar, and Layyah.

Regarding the population, according to the final report you shared, if it's genuine, it shows that Punjab's population constitutes over 51% of Pakistan's total population, which contradicts the initial incomplete results that indicated around 49%. Maybe the public backlash led to these adjustments being made.

Lastly, the annual growth rate is different from the overall growth rate over a span of six years.

Awesome, think about the demographic dividend. You can deploy them in factories and become well off.

The population of Pakistan is indeed estimated to be well above 250 million. However, there are concerns that, for political reasons, certain agencies may be concealing the true population figures. There is a perception that this is being done to emphasize the population dominance of Punjab and to exert political influence.
