If we take the average for the past 4 out of 5 years and for arguments sake use this figure of $17 Billion for the Financial Year 2012-2013, Pakistan's total Nominal GDP growth would amount to $86 Billion.

Therefore, under 9-Years of Military-Rule, Pakistan's Nominal GDP grew by $90 Billion while under only 5-Years of Democratic Rule, Pakistan's Nominal GDP has grown by $86 Billion.

Please also note, that during the first 5-Years of the Military-Rule (1999-2004), Pakistani Nominal GDP only grew by $24 Billion. However, after the American blank cheque was thrown at Pakistan, under the last 4-Years of the Military-Rule (2004-2008) the Nominal GDP grew by a modest $54 Billion respectively.

Thus nominally there hasnt been much change, but real gdp growth during this two periods is a different story alltogether if official data is beleived.

Economic performance is measured in term of percentage not value - Exclude the period when we were under sanction because of nuclear tests and then calculate GDP growth in % and compare it with current govt. - Keep in mind economic reforms i.e. telecom sector, media industry and many other happened under military rule. IF you think GDP growth is because of American Cheques than subtract amount of those cheques from both previous and current goverment's growth.

Do calculation and comeback again.

i have already asked many questions to suparco but he just cant resist to parrot all this nonsense, i asked him what did PPP do they he believes economy performed better in PPP's time, not to mention musharraf left with a better economy, PPP has left pakistan only reserves worth one month after which pakistan will default and musharraf time was 100 times more difficult then PPP time, lawyer's nuisence, taliban nuisence, BLA nuisence, lal masjid nuisence, still very less killings, here in karachi ten people are targetted everyday

Exactly. And since there is not much change in nominal gdp growth rates, which is real growth+inflation, it means the inflation rate has been much higher during the present regime.

P.S :The above figures may prove that the present govt has been ineffective but that does automatically means that democracy itself is ineffective.

Gen. Musharraf rule was the best & these corrupt & incompetent politicians don't even come close to Gen. Musharraf rule, they are lighters away from Gen. Musharraf excellent rule.
