Pakistan's new Chinese submarines will likely carry nuclear-capable CJ-10K LACMs

@Horus @Oscar @Penguin @Rashid Mahmood
In a brief report published by the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad, a Pakistani-government-funded think tank, more details of Pakistan's new Chinese submarines have been disclosed. The report also assesses Pakistan's pursuit of developing nuclear submarine and desire to acquire ASW capability.

Excerpts:

To counter Indian naval buildup, Pakistan agreed to purchase eight new submarines
from China in March 2015, which will be equipped with a Stirling-cycle Air-independent propulsion (AIP)
system and will be able to carry up to three nuclear warhead-carrying CJ-10K land attack cruise missiles
(LACMs) each.

It has been assessed that Pakistan’s nuclear submarine is likely to be based on the Qing
Class Chinese SSK (diesel-electric submarine). Highly advanced electric propulsion system of Qing Class
Chinese SSK will enable Pakistan to replace diesel engine power generation with a nuclear power plant.

In 2014-2015, Pakistan signed an agreement with a German firm “Rheinland Air Service (RAS)” to
upgrade two Pakistan Navy-regional air transport (ATR-72s) into maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) with
anti-submarine warfare (ASW) capabilities. According to the Ministry of Defence Production, these ATR-
72s will be ready for Pakistan by 2017-2018. Furthermore, it is possible that a third ATR-72 will
ultimately be sent for conversion, especially since the platform is considered a key part of the Navy’s
Aviation Vision 2030 plan.
there about the same size . i thought the a90b dont have torpeado tubes big enough to launch the babur.
as for the cj-10k vs babur. it would be cheaper to buy an slcm than develop your own, but that contradicts that some well informed users here have said the babur slcm has been tested. as for range, pakistan being the country that it is, im sure you wont have too much difficulty squeezing range out of it. wont be surprised if the current range of the babur is 1000km+
Pakistan is looking to arm its future fleet of SSK, SSN & SBN subs with nuclear arms.
Probably there are two options out there for nuclear cruise missiles.

1. CJ - 10 is a 1500 Km missile, China which has voluntarily agreed to comply with MTCR rules in 2004 in a bid build to case for entry into MTCR , can not export this missile to Pakistan.

2. Agosta 90B are armed with Exocets and not Babur.

3. There is no naval variant of Babur, which can be fired from the submarine or even surface vessel.

.
These developments were going on secretly for a while but the way things are being made public now reflects strong progress has been made.

After sea launched babur cruise missiles getting CJ 10 will forsure make Indians think 1000 times before going ahead with any misadventure.

So says the same people who said it was impossible for Pakistan to EVER become a nuclear weapons state regardless of how much Chinese assistance they may receive :azn:

Yaa... no one actually said that.

As far back as 1983 there were already plans to destroy, Pakistani nuclear reactors to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons.

@Bilal Khan (Quwa) @Quwa

This report indicates Pakistan will acquire nuclear submarines by replacing diesel engine power generation with a miniaturized nuclear power plant. This is exactly what is being developed under Project KPC-3.

No. of Chinese submarines (to be procured) was increased from six to eight. I believe two may be converted into nuclear-powered subs..
What is project kpc-3 ??

As some one with more submarine experience than fan boys here. China is 10 years away from a prototype mini nuclear functional plant. The Quing class are ex- Kilo class and are reputed to be very silent submarines only because they use an electric propulsion charged by the diesel engine at snorkel depth. The AIP will be used once the submarine is near its kill zone or fleeing from its kill zone. Why the **** will you replace it with a nuclear propulsion which is loud. Only USA and Russia have viable silent nuclear plants and everybody in the professional world knows at the moment the Chinese Nuclear Propulsion plants are the nosiest. This is turning out to be another SU -35 story. Yes Pakistan will get 06 submarines of the Quing class with AIP and they will be dieso electric. Period. These will be a big headache for the Indian Navy no doubt.

That might have been the plans by the elite of the indian military high command but virtually ALL other indians were saying it was impossible. That it will NEVER happen. That India should nuke Pakistan. Pakistan would be destroyed before it gets nukes and the Americans/Israelis would prevent Pakistan becoming a nuclear weapons state. So when an indian says ANYTHING, especially about Pakistan, it's very hard to believe or take anything seriously. Based on the past comprehensive list of failed indian predictions and complete exposure of indian propaganda.

Don't believe us, believe in what you have conclusive proof off.

Do you have proof off , submarine launched version of Babur ?

There was also never conclusive proof of Pakistan's nuclear weapons either until we actually detonated our devices. And that was well over 15 years after we achieved the capabilty. And now since early 2011, Pakistan has had the capability to produce Fusion bombs, H-bombs and thermonuclear weapons:

From the above facts it can conclusively be deduced that the Pakistan military is MUCH MORE advanced than it publicly admits too. The opinions and delusions of our enemies do not change those FACTS.

We get it Pakistan silently invented nuclear technology..
Also Pakistan forgot the launch code during Kargil time..

Adding the finishing touches during kargil :D

All set now though. Which is why india could not launch a full scale military attack on Pakistan after mumbai 2008 and URI last month even though you are 7× more bigger than Pakistan with abundant access to the world's most advanced weapons systems whilst we are denied this privilege :azn:

Do the Naval chief told you???

Time to go back to your Maddrasah, if you don't know what a submarine is?
