Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir has plans to obtain a British passport and permanently settle down in England, reports in the Pakistan media said. Amir, who is married to British citizen Nargis Malik, has already applied for a "spouse visa", which means he can stay in England for 30 months. He is also looking to purchase a home in London, cricketpakistan.com.pk reported.

The 27-year-old will also be able to work and take other advantages that comes along with the spouse visa. However, Amir might face difficulties in getting the visa as he has previously been in jail in the UK for his role in the spot-fixing scandal.

But the cricketer has since then travelled to England on a number of occasions with the Pakistan team. Amir was part of Pakistan's World Cup campaign as well. He has also played county cricket.

Left-arm pacer Amir had announced his retirement from Test cricket, but said that he will continue playing white-ball cricket for Pakistan.

His decision to quit the longest format of the game did not go down well with former greats like Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram as they both feel it was an early exit.

I think we might see him play then in England national team LoL

LOL! Probably some fake news for TRP, or views. Who wants to leave the team at the prime of their career?

Many future immigrants in pakistani team, after loosing to India they might even seek asylum to escape from mad public in their country.

Good job then that head to head, Pakistan is ahead of india in the win/loss ratio of cricket matches from 1952-2019.........:azn:............that too when india is more than 7× bigger than us population wise and spends 15-20× more on cricket than we do...........:rofl:............:azn::

He decided to retire from test & one day forms of the sport. He wants to focus only on T20 where most of the money lies with less effort. But this was brought to the attention of PCB and PM as well and if does so he most probably will be kicked out from T-20 and PSL as well so that's why he is considering the option of moving to UK where he may keep playing county cricket. For him money is the everything.. He was caught and punished for spot fixing. But later PCB felt pity for him so allowed him to play and his performance has been hit & miss

Old stats. Talk about today. And whats size and money has to do here. Small african countries get way more medals in olympic than pakistan or india have in their whole history. proves nothing. dont just blabber anything. speak facts and logic. And you still remember right 7-0 ?

pcb didnt feel pity for him. he was and he is the need of the team. after miserable performance of the team in WC 2015 amir was need of the team. he has already won CT for pak otherwise who would have taken sharma, dhawan and kohli in the final.
and he is not retiring from ODI.

Old Stats? They are correct as of today!........:azn:.......7-0 pales into comparison when you think about the overall ODI tally of 73-55 To Pakistan......we are 18 ahead, not just 7 ahead....... :azn:........ that is a stellar achievement when you consider that there are more than 7× more indians than Pakistanis and they spend nearly 20x more on cricket than we do.................:azn:

we can becoz we can afford, maybe take some lessons from the indian domestic cricket, it will be better for you. even our ipl is worth $6 billion. No one is concerned of that record, you guys played well in past, wasim and shoaib and waqar, now you guys have been so corrupt , the players and the board. Everyone knows in the last decade india has been the top team in the world. No one cares for past. If u were a great team back then why are u not now, u shud contemplate on that. worlds top batsmen - no.1 and no.2 virat and rohit and bowler - bumrah. I see only upward trajectory for us. You can carry on clinging to ur 73-55. :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:
