For all this talk about water and it's scarcity, little effort is being made to tackle it on the grass root level. I wanted to conduct a study about drip irrigation and university isn't or can't provide funding for it and I have to change my research proposal. Nobody facilitates researchers

Perhaps offer your services to a farmer or farming company with a lot of land, and help them become efficient, at a modest price. A good track record with a few cases and a few YouTube videos, and you maybe able to get the attention of a university for a larger study. It’s hard to get funding in any field. Many people don’t want to take a chance unless they can see you will bring them more profit then your services cost them. Inshallah you will do well.

Bro i barely needed 10 15k. Universities should facilitate such research. I understand if the amount is too big but 10000 is nothing for them. Students have to bear all costs.

Your right. It should be part of the degree to give students funding, as part of their studies. Practical application of what has been learned in the classroom will go a long way in help students getting their career going, whether as a resume item for a government job or a potential project to help enter the private sector.
