Pakistani Students Reply To India’s Evacuation Proposal: Talk About The Kashmiris’ Evacuation, Not Pakistani Students

Yesterday, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar commented on evacuation of stranded Pakistani students in Wuhan,China and said, “We have not received any request about this from the Government of Pakistan. But, if such a situation arises and we have the resources then we will consider it.”

The Pakistani students in Wuhan responded to the Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar’s proposal, saying, “No matter how bad the situation is for Pakistanis, it is not bad that we will ask help from India.“

Waqar Khan, a representative of Pakistani students in the Chinese city of Wuhan, addressed India in a video message, saying: “Instead of talking about our evacuation of Pakistani students from Wuhan, it would be logical if you(India) talk about the Kashmiris’ evacuation. There should be talk on this.”

Waqar Khan criticized India’s evacuation of its students and said, “You people should have been treated better with the evacuation of Indian students.”

Talking about Pakistani students, Waqar Khan added, “Pakistani students think they should stay in China because they will be treated better in China. China is Pakistan’s friend and it is like our second home.”

Few days ago, Same Waqar Khan, a representative of Pakistani students in the Chinese city of Wuhan requested the Pakistani Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to make arrangement of evacuation for them from China, but Pakistani government totally denied to evacuate them.

He said, “Many camps have been set up by other countries in its own country to treat students for 10-12 days. We want Pakistan to do something similar for us.“

He further said, “many of the students’ wives have children here, that’s why they are more worried.“

But Now he is criticizing India’s evacuation of its students and said, “China is our second home and we are more safe here. India should talk about the Kashmiris’ evacuation, not Pakistani students evacuation.“

In the Rajya Sabha on Friday, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar presented his stand on the condition of corona virus. The Foreign Minister said that when we sent the aircraft to bring our students from Wuhan (China), we had openly offered to all our neighbors that India would also help in evacuating their people.

Maldives showed positive attitude on this offer. After this, we have brought the seven Maldives students and people. Soon everyone will be transported to their country.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that the Ministry of External Affairs is in touch with the students living in China. Also, we are in constant contact with the Chinese authority.

Jaishankar said that the 80 Indian stdents are still in Wuhan, but the Indian Embassy is in constant touch with them all.

7 citizens of Maldives have come to India from Wuhan city of China. These people were stranded in the city of Wuhan affected by the Corona virus for a long time. Maldives thanked India for taking out these 7 people. The President of Maldives himself thanked PM Modi and Foreign Minister S Jaishankar for this step of India.

Misleading title not a single explicit mention of Pakistan instead the term "all neighbours" is used. And read again it says "were prepared to bring back not only our people but also those from all our neighbourhood who would have liked to".
