22 Year old Left Arm Spinner Raza Hassan is banned for two years and he will not be able to play any official cricket after his doping test results were positive. The WADA accredited laboratory in India has confirmed that Hassan has been using cocaine to enhance his performances
According to a source in the Pakistan Cricket Board some urine samples of Raza Hassan were taken during a Pentangular cup match in January. The results of the second sample are still awaited but on basis of the first sample results, the board has already established a two-member committee to charge sheet the spinner and seek an explanation from him,” the source said. “The PCB is taking the matter very seriously because this is the first time any player has tested positive for the use of cocaine”, the source added.

Raza Hassan has played one One Day International and 10 T20 Internationals for Pakistan. Raza is known to be a very decent T20 bowler. He picked up 10 wickets in 10 games that he played for Pakistan with a very impressive economy rate of 5.76. Raza made his T20 International debut in September 2012 against Australia and played his one and only ODI against Australia in October 2014 in Dubai
Raza has been advised to hire a lawyer and justify his innocence to a committee of qualified people, which also includes former Pakistani International player Colonel Naushad Ali who also happens to be a qualified Sports Medicine Doctor.
Sources have been telling that the Pakistan Cricket Board is taking this matter quite seriously as no player in the history of cricket was banned for using cocaine.“If Hassan can’t clear himself before the inquiry committee, he faces a two-year ban from all cricket,” said Naushad Ali.
In the past many popular Pakistani cricketers like Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammed Asif were tested positive for banned substances for which they had to miss the 2007 World cup in West Indies
