*Flame shield ON* - for incoming rants
Pakistani society is incredible materialistic, shallow and has an inferiority complex.
I find it so funny to see how people are always run by other people, this causes a lot of people to make silly unneeded mistakes and when $hit hits the fan, the good old blame to "nazar" is used. Haye Allah Nazar lag gaye hai, sadka day do jaldi.
The sentence above has such a deep meaning if a person thinks on it properly, that you'd be surprised on how every decision you take is influenced by what I have written. People are so shallow, have no self-esteem, that they cannot have confidence in their decision unless they are validated by others, they seek this validation consistently.
It could be buying dishes, they have to have the best otherwise they'll be embarrassed in front of guests, their respect is somehow tied to cutlery. It could be animal sacrifices on Eid, that we managed to sacrifice an army of animals just to brag about it, when not even asked, or by indirectly asking the question on what the other person has sacrificed. Want to know what the height of shallowness is? Presenting a super glistening tea party while in the background you are hounding your servants by super controlling your oil, milk, sugar and tea consumptions on a daily basis, why not just stick to a budget? Why save your pennies from that budget?
Proudly going to meet other people in your expensive car and have other people drool at your richness, also giving you the "right" to forget humbleness and become an a$$hole because you're rich. Society today has no spine to call out entitled people on their rude behavior, they'll just quietly take it like a kutti.
