It was India who started the Nuclear Arm race in this region , so if Pakistan is just bluffing its because Indians will never give up their nukes because in most of your history you been under the rule of different powers, and nukes are something that is keeping you getting conquered .

Oh ho.. and while India was under ' different powers' the land that now is Pakistan ( or whats left of it) signed a declaration of Independence centuries ago !

the world would be a better place if every country decommissioned their nukes in favour for peaceful utilization of nuclear energy
when its blast did not stop on borders . nukes are one of the major threat to mankind . nationality is letter mankind is first . think like human you will understand it .

Sane thoughts. Most refreshing to read & thank you

Would india give up their nuclear weapons?

It will take a few years for you people to understand this master stroke.

The pressure is now on india.

Its a diplomatic statement we are never giving up nukes

Thats right

Nice IK put the pressure on india

it is good offer, now India turn.

When India carried out its first blast in 74, Pak was recently dismembered hence was not on the radar at all.

The defeat of 62 & presence or threat of its presence of the 7th Fleet in the Bay of Bengal in 71 were the " Never again" points in Indian history which led to nuclear tests. Pak did not matter then or now.

So long as China has its nukes, India will have them too. Pak can do what it wishes to with its Nukes.

This ' offer' or ' pressure" as poster suggest does not exist .

It may no affect, but these words are documented for future and to avoid any future blackmailing from any power, which can forced Pakistan to sign NPT.

This is not the first time a Pak leader has made such an offer and will not be the last either.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said Pakistan would be willing to give up its nuclear weapons if India was able to keep the same promise, during an interview on "Special Report with Bret Baier" Monday.

"If India said we would give up our nuclear weapons, would Pakistan?" Baier asked.

"Yes," Khan answered. "Because nuclear war is not an option. And between Pakistan and India, the idea of nuclear war is actually self-destruction, because we have two and a half thousand-mile border."

"Also I think there's a realization in the subcontinent and there was some incident that happened last February and we again had tension at the border.

"An Indian plane was shot down in Pakistan. So there's a realization and that's why I asked President Trump if he could play his role, the U.S. is the most powerful country in the world, the only country that could mediate between Pakistan and India and the only issue is Kazmir."

Khan continued: "The only reason for 70 years, that we have not been able to live like civilized neighbors, is because of Kazmir."

Baier mentioned India's response to Khan's press conference about being open to further negotiations and said they put out a statement, saying: "We've seen president's remarks to the press, that he's ready to mediate if requested by India and Pakistan on the Kazmir issue. No such request has been made by Prime Minister Modi to the U.S. president. It has been India's consistent position that all outstanding issues with the Pakistanis were discussed only bilaterally."

Kahn responded by calling on India to come to the negotiating table first and expressed optimism about America and stepping in to help broker a deal.

"I really feel that India should come on the table. The U.S. could play a big part, President Trump certainly can play a big part. We're talking about 1.3 billion people on this Earth. Imagine the dividends of peace if somehow that issue could be resolved."
We will not give up our n weapons whatsoever. They are not just about India. So no, we will not.

If you had any sense of clarity yourself instead of grinding your teeth in hatred, you would have not been an utter fool to post a statement made after “smiling Buddha” as some proof that we wanted the bomb anyway.
The Pakistan bomb got underway in Jan 1972 with the Multan meeting. Long before smiling Buddha

bangladesh is 1/6 the size of Pakistan Not even 17% of our size. india was dismembered in 1947 and lost over 35% of it's territory to us yet they still persued nuclear weapons. So your argument doesn't hold.

.
I think due to weak economy ik govt has agreed to restrict nuclear program and may be govt giveup nukes inreturn of writeoff of our debts by u.s and imf and few hundered billion dollars

Some times its better to use your mind my friend :)

.
That's nothing but a pipe dream going from age old enemies to cooperating? Pakistan-India trade alone is probably the lowest in terms of potential in the entire world. Until Kashmir is resolved you can kiss that will remain a pipe dream, and seeing Indian reaction to mediation it looks like that's out of the question in our life time.

If France and Britain can, If Germany/ Italy and rest of the Europe can move into cooperation mode after the even bitter history against each other, why can't we? Compared to what they had gone through, what India / Pakistan had gone through can be termed as mere skirmish..

Pipe-dream or not, without cooperation, we will be rotting in the perpetual cycle of defence spending with all other social development taking a back seat, while these third parties keep benefiting from the useless enmity...

As far as Kashmir goes, I cannot fathom a day when the status quo (at least regarding the borders) will change. I say it will never change. The sooner both parties realize it, the better. India, Pakistan (and China for that matter) needs to seriously think what useless ego we are holding and bring a swift end to all these nonsense. That is, if we are serious about ushering in the glorious century of Asia that we so much deserve!!!

No sir
A bombs are our survival .
We have always used the Indian card that we only have bombs because India has them too for our protection and its actually good logic.
No worry saying anything else .
Besides we have so many bombs already.
No worries there. Stability and good relations with America is the key to break the stagnation . And that we have succeeded well.
