New Delhi, February 21

A Pakistani military helicopter on Wednesday came within 300 metres of the Line of Control --------------- (Azad Kashmir) near Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

There was no firing or hostile action by any side during the incident which occurred between 9.45 am and 10 am, they said.

According to the laid down norms by both the sides, rotary wing aircraft should not come within one kilometre of the LoC and fixed wing aircraft should not be within 10 km of it.

The helicopter later went back, the sources said, adding although it was not a violation of airspace, but it was a breach of an understanding between the two sides.

The sources indicated that the matter will be taken up with the Pakistani side. — PTI

None should violate norms. It's not act of bravery
This no violation of norms. the treaty prohibits attack helicopters not logistics. If there is an injured person near the border and needs evacuation the helicopter is needed. India media is just barking. They cannot take this issue to UN.

It surely must have been a surgical strike by Pakistan in india occupied kashmir and now the indians will hide the entire story for not being able to stop it.:woot::sniper:

May be someone somewhere required logistics or any urgent medical treatment...but by the way, in a situation where both sides are hitting each other where ever vulnerable, i simply can't accept that logic of so called "norms" and understandings"....Its simply Line of Control...which suggests to hold control by all means with all the available resources we have....neighbors shouldn't create hype of these activities.

Is it real the picture of the chopper? Can we determine which chopper is it?
I guess Indian soldiers don't have smart phones with good cameras...

*************

Actually it was violation by Pakistan Military and it came within 300 metres of the Line of Control, rotary wing aircraft should not come within one kilometre of the LoC.

It was joint Chinese Pakistan tactic which was mainly linked to the Chinese Navy fleet in Indian Ocean , some Maldivians civilians seems to be going to Republic of India and that Maldivian plane or ship was under the firing range of the Chinese Navy Fleet.
