ISLAMABAD - Officials say a Pakistani judge has resigned after a video was posted on YouTube of him boogying with a so-called "dancing girl" at a party celebrating his brother's engagement.

Men in Pakistan often invite dancing girls — many of whom are prostitutes — to perform at such all-male events before weddings, akin to U.S. bachelor parties.

Videos of these parties are often posted on the Internet, but it's rare for a public official to be caught in such a scandal.

Judge Mohammed Masood Bilal said Thursday the video was recorded during his brother's engagement party but declined to provide further details.

A court official, Mohammed Maqsood, says Bilal was working as a judge in the central city of Khanewal before he resigned Wednesday.

The video was posted July 20.

Can those who asked / expected him to quit say for sure that they have never done something like this before or would have LIKED to do something like this.

I am pretty sure his relatives and family members knew it. He was not doing it secretly somewhere. If everybody does it,why hang the guy.

I did not mean literally. I was pointing the demonization of him.
If it was immoral, he would not have done it in first place. It seems his fault is not dancing, but allowing the video to be captured.
