Pakistani Hindus reject India’s offer for citizenship

Well, Unlike India we aren't masquerading as a Secular Nation. Yet unlike the "Secular" India , we treat our minorities with much more respect and most treat them well. We do not have specific prejudice against the minorities. If you post videos on poor Pakistani Hindus, there are poor Pakistani Muslims living under those conditions as well, maybe even poorer. So their poverty has nothing to do with their religion. You do realise that when India officially identifies as a Hindu Nation, it'll lose any credible claim on Kashmir? Nothing about India's current moves is secular.

Finally you brought up valid argument without much trolling unlike others.
You are correct with your perception. But we will ensure to keep our country secular by constitution.Wr can only be secular if Hindus are majority in this country.

Thats great that Lanka is developing.

We have also come out of our bad period due to WOT.

But what are you bitchin bout? Who gives a flying fk bout mighty Lanka ? Like seriously apart from better socioeconomic indicators (which we lead in South Asia till the mid 2000s) like seriously who cares bout an irrelevant little state on the global scale?

As for saving your life, your country wasnt that cocky only a decade ago when international community was out to whip your *** & it was Pak who stood up for you.
It was Pak that established your SF, even down to picking the locations for training facilities, supplying you weapons every week when you were embargoed, supporting you diplomatically and whatnot.
I mean dude, we got cities larger than your country & here you are comparing yourself to us & India?

Your total economy is comparable to our second largest city, Karachi alone dwarfs you by dozens of billions.

While we give you respect, the indians have a whip policy to keep you in your place.

And we have a superiority complex because we ruled the subcontinent, because we built this country from dust, because we are a nuclear power and one of the strongest nations in asia and the world, because the nations you mentioned developed themselves on Paks economic model, and so on.

Yeah finger banging soviets in Astan & a good looking nation also helps.

Sri Lanka has similar population to Karachi and yet Karachis economy is equal to 2 Sri Lankas. So calm down, no need to act like a monkey.
Hello. Please can you tell me when did a Pakistani born ruler rule the subcontinent? Forget subcontinent. Tell me a Pakistani born ruler who ruled present Pakistan. You don't have any other than non-Muslims like Ranjit Singh and the Buddhist and Hindu Shahi dynasties. All your heroes are imported. After the formation of Pakistan, you needed people who would justify your separation from Hindus of India. Since you didn't have local military heroes, you imported heroes from Arabia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, etc. Please come out of the delusion that you ruled the subcontinent. In fact, Pakistan has been ruled by these very invaders for more time than India. Pakistan was always the first to fall to the invaders. Be it Greeks, Achaemenids or Arabs/Turks. There never was a Pakistani born ruler who could fight for his own land or create a new kingdom. Stop taking credit of others. An Indian/Pakistani Christian will never say that he ruled subcontinent for 150 years because he knows Britishers are different and he is different. That also shows how Pakistan is always dependent on others. First it was the USA and now China. India was the leader of Non-Alignment Movement along with Indonesia whereas Pakistan didn't waste time to fall into the US camp.
Please start being independent instead of always being dependent on others.

.
So there will be some exceptions in every country, look where are they live 70 km from Karachi rural are of Karachi, i can show you lots of same thing in India where Muslims lived in a afraid and Threatening states and there are not much for them
That is true.

KARACHI: Pakistan’s minority Hindu community has rejected India’s offer to grant them citizenship under the new ‘citizenship amendment law’.

Patron of the Pakistan Hindu Council, Raja Asar Manglani told Anadolu Agency that this is a unanimous message from Pakistan’s entire Hindu community to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that the law is violating of India’s own constitution.

Meanwhile, Sikh leader Gopal Singh has also said that the entire Sikh community in the world, including those in India, also condemn this move.

He urged Modi government not to push minorities back to the wall.

Yesterday, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi stressed upon India to withdraw the discriminatory citizenship act.

Speaking to journalists in Islamabad, Shah Mehmood Qureshi reiterated that Pakistan will continue to raise its voice against this controversial act at every forum. He said the legislation is against the minorities especially the Muslims.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi also said that several organizations working for religious freedom have also expressed their reservations against the Indian legislation.

The bill is designed to attract Hindus (alongside Sikhs and other minorities) from Pakistan, BD and other places so India would give them domicile certificate from Kashmir. In this way, they will be able to undermine the Muslim majority in the Kashmir. From what it appears, this ploy has been in action even before the BJP government came to power. Thus, Congress is equally complacent.

The problem in this for the migrating Hindus and other minorities is that they do not want to move to Kashmir and want to be allocated in major centres likes Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai. Here they could find economic opportunities but for the governmental business, they will have travel all the way to Srinagar, which they have to do on more than expected occasions.

What's more surprising is that the Pakistani government has never raised red flags on this issue. Wonder if they are even aware of this?

Indians need new blood to rape that's why they want them to go over. I remember meeting a Pakistani Hindu in England , he had tears in his eyes when he told me that moving to India was the worst mistake he had ever made and how much he missed Pakistan. He took political asylum in the UK and was contemplating how to go back to Pakistan with his wife and kids.

.
There was a BBC report that Pak Hindu 'refugees' are treated with great suspicion in india and are disliked. They have also been accused of being undercover ISI agents.
The few Afghan Sikh families i have met in UK have never had the desire to move to India. For them its always been about UK, Canada or the US. An elderly Afghan Sikh refugee once told me he had no family connections to india and never ever wanted to settle there. However his wish was to visit the Harmindar Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar. His forfathers, way before the 1947 partition were from a rural area of Pakistans Punjab and migrated to Kabul where they ran a very successful clothing business until the Soviet invasion in 1971. Thier clan got through the difficult period of the Soviet Afghan war and Taliban control era. They could not continue to live any further during the US NATO invasion and escaped with what they could. Despite his hearbreaking story what he and his family endured he was still very proud to say he was an Afghan Sikh and a Kabli Punjabi.

The Pakistani Hindu is a loyal, brotherly, honourable son of the soil. I hope none of them ever fall for Modi's lies and I hope we never do anything to force them to flee!

Displaced Pakistani Hindus, now Indian citizens, live in deplorable conditions in Rajasthan's Barmer
For several families in this locality, despite running from pillar to post, basic facilities such as proper roads, sewerage lines, clean drinking water, proper toilets have been a distant dream.

Displaced Pakistani Hindus who attained Indian citizenship decades ago continue to live in deplorable conditions in Rajasthan's Barmer.

The Modi government may have ensured the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2019, in the Parliament raising hopes of thousands of displaced Pakistani Hindus living on the periphery in the country, but would that be enough to elevate the standard of living of the people who arrived in India decades ago and continue to live a life of penury, in deplorable conditions in various parts of the country?

India Today visited Barmer, a bordering Rajasthan town, which has witnessed large influx of displaced Pakistani Hindus from the neighbouring country, to find out the reality on the ground. Here, 40 families had arrived from Pakistan during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war.

However, despite several of them getting Indian citizenship almost two to three decades ago, they continue to live a life of abject poverty, deprived of basic facilities such as drinking water, roads, schools for the children amongst others.

Meet Ghanaram, the man who was around 20 years old, when he arrived in India in 1971. Currently in his 70s, he still hopes to have clean drinking water, proper schools and education for children in this locality, known as the Sharnarthi camp, amongst outsiders.

"There is problem of water, there is problem of land, there is problem of road," Ghanaram told to India Today.

For several families in this locality, despite running from pillar to post, basic facilities such as proper roads, sewerage lines, clean drinking water, proper toilets have been a distant dream.

They blame successive governments for not providing them with basic facilities and keeping them in the dark, despite politicians making a beeline for their locality before elections.

"It's been 50 years since we came from Pakistan over here but after we got the citizenship over here, we did not get any facilities. Like we want light, water," Nandu Singh told India Today.

Savitri, a woman in her 40s was married into a family in this locality. She continues to rue the fact that despite most of the families staying in this locality being Indian citizens they are looked upon as refugees who arrived from Pakistan and live in a refugee camp and where basic facilities still elude the people living there.

She claims that they have to face the jibes of others and accuses successive governments of failing to provide them with basic facilities.

"Have not got anything. Were made to occupy here when had come from Pakistan in '71. We were told that you occupy over here, will give you land. There is no facility," Savitri said.

Even as there are claims that with the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Bill and it becoming an Act can lead to a clamour for those wanting to become Indian citizens from neighbouring countries such as Pakistan, the conditions of those who had arrived from Pakistan decades ago and attained Indian citizenship is nothing to be elated about.

"Over here, 40 families have been staying for the last 50 years but they do not have anything in the name of basic facilities. Basic facilities are water and light. There is no such thing like that over here," Narpat Singh Dhara, District President, Organisation of Displaced Pakistanis, said.

Pakistani hindus should realize the fact that India is not some kind of utopia for hindus. If they are poor in Pakistan they will also be poor in India too. Going to India doesn't magically make them rich and gives whatever they want/need. And I am glad by this thread that Pakistani Hindus have come to realization and made their decision to stay in Pakistan.

I said this before, any Pakistani of any faith who migrates to india to make it their new home should never ever be allowed to step foot on Pakistani soil again! We must be harsh on this matter.

Security must not be compromised so I agree. But I hope any would-be migrants think very carefully before falling for Modi's trap.
