A Pakistani bookseller's novel idea for his rickshaw

The recent economic downturn hit Pakistanis as hard as it did people in the west, forcing many to sell off their businesses and start afresh.

Having lost the bookshop he owned for 30 years, Shiraz Ahmad decided to get on his bike.

He now rides a rickshaw loaded with books and earns a living selling to bookworms.

as long as people have the will to fight for survival there is always hope .

What an innovative idea! A man can even come with a new idea in the face of adversity. Have to salute him.

I hope that the reading public warms up to his idea and he is able to do well; actually even better than the days of his book-shop. He really deserves to; considering that he can spread his reach further than he could with his 'static' book-shop. May he succeed in his venture.

I've actually bought books from him. He has a regular haunt as well, on the service road corner next to CFE & RISE school of Accountancy Gardentown Lahore.
People in Lahore please do support him by purchasing books from him.
