Pakistan won't be able to copy new notes: Intelligence agencies

World's largest raciest nation. They are also biggest supporters of terrorism in Pakistan.

The biggest supporters of terrorism in and out of Pakistan is Pakistan itself. Its your forte and also one of the areas you have not let others interfere, except in situations where countries like US have something they claim to have been searching for long is found in Pakistan, they just come, take it and leave. I personally dont feel Pakistani's are Racist, but hey if you think it is, who am I to stop you.

I think should move towards plastic notes like Canada and the new £5 note in UK thanks to the Governor of Bank of England who originally is from Canada.

The note is almost impossible to tear down as I really tried to do it (unless you wanna it), The ink is hidden somewhere inside the plastic paper and its really difficult to copy such a note.

I know India is a big nation and it may be costly to print such notes but I think Pakistan, India and preferably most nations should introduce such notes for bigger currency notes of their respective nations. UK trailed it with £5 note but I am quite sure they will end up replacing all notes with that technology

May be the 1000₹ note which will be re introduced, will be of plastic. There have been talk over plastic currency for a some time in the country. We have to wait and watch.
The move to replace current 1000₹ nd 500₹ note is basically to deal with black money and terror financing, and also in some aspect to deal with fake money.

So your interpretation of my post is that Pakistan should stay where it is so that it could annoy itself? OK, Fine. you've shown your level of understanding.

You got me wrong! My interpretation was simple.Pakistan should stay wherever it is so that it could continue doing whatever it has been doing to itself.

NEW DELHI: Intelligence agencies vetted the new denominations of Rs 2,000 and Rs 500 notes asserting that its security features will be next to impossible to replicate for Pakistan and organised criminal networks for some time to come.

A top government official without going into the details, told TOI that external intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing, Intelligence Bureau and the DRI examined the features on the notes being secretly printed for the past six months. The official refused to reveal the number of security features on the notes but said they were difficult to forge.

The intelligence community had earlier informed the government and RBI that Pakistan had a dedicated mint in Peshawar where only fake Indian currency notes, mostly in Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denomination, were being printed.

Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI, which oversees the mint, uses organised networks including those run by its clients like Dawood Ibrahim, LeT, besides international criminal networks to push fake currency into India.

In a report to government and RBI, intelligence agencies had claimed a few years ago that Pakistan machinery had achieved "zero-error counterfeit capability" in printing fake Indian notes.

According to an estimate, Rs 70 crore worth FICN is pushed every year by Pakistan into the Indian economy, which was used as 'terror fund' and to spearhead disturbances.

MoS for home, Kiren Rijiju, said the government move would lead to closure of fake currency "press" in Pakistan.

They have a decent amount of experience in this. No matter what the Indian Gov does, there will always be a way to sneak in a few notes. May be not enough to change the situation. But still enough to fund a few ops here and there.

the new notes could be tested with note test marker like dollars or euros. Hence they cannot copy exactly. It will be caught by the shop keeper itself...

Are the new notes 'plastic'?

The Australian notes used to be brilliant...the polymer they used made it near on impossible to counterfeit (and make it worth your while).

But sadly in the last 3-4 years things have changed.

India should become like America and reject current Government. Instead of blaming others like Obama, become Trump and clear your own corruption and look at yourself.

You are some dumb doctor or doctor of donkeys.

Are u too blind to see that....THIS IS CALLED MODI REVOLUTION. All around the world now there's anti corruption campaign going on. India, Russia, China, USA, Brazil, Japan and many more.

Sir, I have a question. Is the Indian currency not available from the open market let's say London or Dubai where anyone can exchange dollars or whatever other currency and buy the Indian currency? I don't understand how you can stop someone from buying currencies......I can understand that security features are always added. But how do you control who buys the currency for what purpose? Thanks

So, the Pakistani ISI is in cahoots with organised criminals to bleed INDIA. That shows they have undeclared war with India and yet we don't mobilise in war footing to their evil doings.

ahhh you are such an angle
