Let us look at Sri Lanka, which is doing so well right now.

They had more deaths in Sri Lanka through the suicide bombings of the Indian sponsored LTTE from 2000 to 2009 than Pakistan has had from 2003-2011:

With a population of only 21 million, Sri Lanka saw more terrorism from 2000-2009 than what Pakistan did in its worst period from 2003-2011, & Pakistan has almost 9 times the population of Sri Lanka (180 million). Pakistan has only really started seeing real casualties from terrorism since 2003, whereas Sri Lanka has been seeing it for more than 20 years. Also see how there have been 0 casualties in Sri Lanka in 2010 & 2011 (up till now). It is possible for nations to get past this temporary phase of terrorism. Another example of a country ravaged by terrorism in the past is Turkey, through the PKK. Terrorism is a temporary phase, & nations get past it. It won't be any different for Pakistan either.

Pakistan needs its leaders to 'reform themselves', & to look at the right solution for Afghanistan, so that the region can be stable once the US leaves Afghanistan. Hope is not lost for Pakistan in any way, nations go through far worse, but Pakistan lives in a troubled neighborhood, & instead of creating more enemies, needs to have more friends. Same applies to other countries in the region as well. The US will need to do well (which it hasn't done yet) in tackling the safe havens in North Afghanistan which are used by Afghan terrorists to infiltrate inside Pakistan & cause terrorism. All in all, nations go far worse than what Pakistan is going through, but they come out of it, because terrorism is a temporary phase.

Pakistan has already shown it is going through a full fledged war fighting these terrorists. These terrorists inside Pakistan have been weakened immensely, & now the safe havens of Afghanistan are being used by terrorists to infiltrate into Pakistan, to counter Pakistan's surge against them.

Srilanka exceeded only coz it made a full pledged war on terrorists .

PA secured South Waziriztan from terrorists but operation in N Waziriztan is still not fixed .
Even u r western border with Afghanistan isnt fenced , which gives terrorists to go to Afghanistan easily during operations by Army .

Srilanka also made significant progress in cutting financial help to LTTE .
But can Pakistan stop financial help that terrorists get which mainly come from gulf countries .

But there is one stark difference, sri lanka never lied to its own people. where as pakistan has lied to it's people all along ( ever since independence ).
terrorism is not a big problem for pakistan, they have lied so much that truth is like poison to them. there is no easy respite. Also the US has paid pakistan for so long that they squeeze the soul out of pakistan's body before they let pakistan do what they want.

Umh... caste system isn't in the constitution. It's definitely a social issue but it's not something people live by except in rural and underdeveloped areas and GoI is addressing this with education

So you still have the problem...come to reality...but truth hurts I guess. You Indians love taking pot shots on Pakistan, and that too in a Pakistani defence forum. Before you bad mouth about Pakistan, look at your own country that has a sanitation problem, a huge influx of trafficking women, caste system and a growing Naxalite problem.
