Great news. since the situation in the ME is a big mess, we cant make any deals with Iran, Turkey or arab states. Pakistan is the most neutral and wisest option out there. There was talk about signing seven agreements. May inslude F-16 training as well.

these trainers will cost us a fortune less than buying from the US with the similar quality. However the training agreements are probably more important than the trainers themselves if they go through. Pakistan can provide quality training for large numbers of f-16 pilots.

Good news!! Congrats to Pakistan and Iraq! May our defense cooperation progress more!

But we have already joined that club many years ago. Thanks jealous anyway.

Memeership of the true aircraft manufacturing club needs expertise in engine making. Pakistan cannot even make the piston engine in this aircraft:

Powerplant: 1 × Textron Lycoming IO-540 V4A5 horizontally opposed 6 cylinder.

It certainly should have the expertise to do so but for some reason .......

Better Pakistan-Iraq Relations would be hugely welcomed ! :)

We've always had a soft-spot for our Iraqi Brethren !

We already have good defense relations. Hope to see more cooperation

Iraqi Air Force

20 Beechcraft T-6 Texan II
20 Lasta-95
[20?]Super Mushak [probably $10-$12m deal]

Hmm political decision because Lasta-95 fulfills the role for both Basic to and Intermediate and T-6 TII as intermediate to semi advanced.
