Pakistan To Be Out of FATF Greylist

Good news for Pakistan.
Another reason to celebrate IK exit from Pakistan’s political circus.

.
Now this will change internal situation soon.

. .
just remember these faces who voted against FATF bill.

Neither a PML supporter nor a PTI supporter can claim that Pakistan is poised to come out of the Grey List in September/October because of their efforts. We neither entered the Grey list because of our Political parties nor did we come out of it because of them.......in other words, the ones who caused our entry into the undesired club are the ones responsible for getting us out and they worked very very hard to get the 34 / 34 conditions compliant / largely compliant.
Regardless, PTI has done actual technical level work to comply to FATF conditions, although i agree the listing itself was politically motivated, both in and out, because it's an arm twisting tool. That still does not change the fact that PTI gov actually did work in this regard, otherwise exiting would not be right away possible. It was already speculated that Pakistan is being kept for 1 last yr only on political grounds after largely meeting the conditions.

counting patwari chickens before they are hatched? Pakistan is likely to stay on the list for another 2 months. Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is to visit Pakistan in August for an onsight examination (whatever the hell that means).

that means they will check if the stooges who are imported, which of the laws they have changed to suit their next phase of money laundering.

This whole FATF story is just arm twisting. The west caught nawaja and his band of gama kanjars laundering money to non-western countries. Cue in FATF to tighten the screws around these guys (don't forget, Pakistan was grey listed when Nawaz was in power). Western countries only want their money back in their own countries.

This is why Bilawal was in Switzerland to negotiate unfreezing of accounts and he gave them his word that all laundered money will be coming in western accounts again.

FATF don't care if politicians rape the country to death, all they care is that the money the west has loaned comes back to their own countries, while the receiving country continues to pay interest perpetually.

How whitelisting will impact Pakistan economy? What we were losing on being in grey List?

Tareen had mentioned to IMF on PTI's plans on where how would they budget for oil subsidies. Surely, one would not expect this subsidy to go on forever. Please check his press conferences.

But some few good men in this forum still refuse to see the light.

I hope it's true. Govts don't last forever, inshaAllah our nation will.

Being off this list will reduce barriers to trade, particularly those around banking.
