Foreign Ministry's warning follows recent US accusations against Islamabad of harboring militants fighting in Afghanistan

Pakistan on Thursday said it would duly respond to any U.S drone strike on its soil.

"Pakistan army has made it clear that any [U.S] drone strike will be responded accordingly," Foreign Ministry spokesman, Dr Muhammad Faisal said during a weekly press briefing in capital Islamabad while responding to a question.

The rare reaction follows recent statements from top U.S. officials, including President Donald Trump, accusing Islamabad of "playing a double-game" and providing safe havens to militants fighting in war-torn Afghanistan.

Drone strikes have been a frequent tactic by the U.S forces since 2004 to target suspected Taliban and al-Qaeda militants in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal region, mainly North and South Waziristan, which border Afghanistan.

100% agreed. But as I said that if we don't have an ICBM ready for testing, at least we have a few 3500-4000 km range missiles ready ...actually even deployed but officially a shorter range is mentioned so as to not upset some powers but right now it is the time. Because if we can kill that parrot for whom uncle sam is doing all this, uncle sam will back off.

But how Pakistan is gonna respond if they dont cross the border? Have PA placed SAMs on our western border or will it take PAF to fly JF-17 from Peshawar airbase?
And what are consequences Pak has to bear after PAF shoot down a US drone?

The question is what will be the consequences for USA if it makes a drone strike?
