It is not defection but it is policy of Pakistan. It is Saudis who have gone berserk and have started regional wars in Middle East.
this is amusing Pakistan was on Saudi side on this issue in the first place Ultron
I think Pakistan was neutral and I would prefer it to maintain the same position. A great lesson we can learn from Sweden that remained neutral in WW-II, a much amazing feat to achieve than Pakistan remaining neutral to something happening thousands of miles away from its borders.this is amusing Pakistan was on Saudi side on this issue in the first place Ultron
I think Pakistan's stance has something to do with recent US-Russia understanding of keeping Asad for the time being.
Can you support this with a statement from our Foreign Office or any other official?
Pakistan didn't switch any side.
Most in Pakistan believes that toppling govt is not the job of foreigners but the people of that land. Why would Pakistan or Saudia or America decide what Syrians want? Toppling govt has only proven to be destructive. Example Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc.
Err..Is Pakistan not a part of Saudi led 'Islamic military alliance' of 34 countries?
whats destructive for the west? they achive what they want with this policy?
