The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing held the first ever Pakistan Students Forum at the embassy on March 10. Around 400 students, including a large number of female students from 42 universities in China, participated in the event.

Welcoming the students, the Ambassador of Pakistan Masood Khalid lauded their performance and appreciated their efforts and role in positive projection of Pakistan through academic and cultural pursuits.

Mentioning that over 25,000 Pakistani student community is the third largest in China and it is also the top recipient of Chinese scholarships, the Ambassador described it as a manifestation of growing cooperation in education sector.

He highlighted the importance present government was giving to education and said that educational cooperation was now an important component of bilateral ties between Pakistan and China. The Ambassador also referred to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which has opened up new opportunities for job creation and skill development of Pakistani youth.

The Ambassador termed the students as an asset for Pakistan and urged them to work hard and observe unity in their ranks to be effective goodwill ambassadors of Pakistan in China.

Earlier officers of the Pakistan Embassy gave detailed presentations on the status of current cooperation between Pakistan and China in educational, scientific, and cultural fields. The presentation on Consular and Community Services being rendered by the Embassy were also part of the program.

The students actively participated in the interactive session and appreciated Embassy's outreach efforts in providing an opportunity for sharing their views on various aspects of student life in China.

.
Well done. It is a joy to see how Pak community and students are thriving in China. May this cooperation go from strength to strength.

I personally know a Pakistani friend/post doc student at our university who is selected to work on CPEC in China.

There is a lot of work ongoing.
