Pakistan should not build the dams yet

Well building dams is good. How can there be any problem? But here is the problem. The water for these dams is flowing from the Indian occupied Kashmir. What happens we build all these dams and India stops the water? All the money we pour is these dams will go waste. Hence Pakistan should not build the dams yet. First we need to get the Indian occupied Kashmir under our control before building any dams. Do you agree with me?

My answer to your query is a big NO.

First of all please educate yourself on the Pakistan waterways. Bahsha dam is being built at the border of GB and KPK on the Indus River, so no water is coming from IOK

Mohmand Dam is being built on Swat river which starts from Kalam valley.

no worries we will make you sit on our ghori and throw it into the indian dam trying to stop any water..later you will be decorated.

mean rivers flow from lower plains to higher mountains in your world? That's an awesome fantasy

From this comment of you its obvious that your upper portion is still working, still dont know why the OP. Khair. India, even if built hundreds of dams in Kashmir, still wont he able to completely stop the water flow towards Pakistan. Rains, moonsoon, increase flow in rivers in summers etc will make sure there is excessive water for Ibdia to let go otherwise the dams will overspell and can even get damaged. So, you keeo building dams, you will alwasy find enough water to fill it.

India stops water its war..simple

Water doesn't flow in fixed amounts. India can stop a certain amount of water, not all the water. The amount of water in rivers in summer is very high so we can always store the extra water.

India cannot stop water into Pakistan, they lack the capacity and the areas which feed Indus are mostly in Pakistan.

Can they divert the water? Or that is not feasible?

Wake up man. We have been in a war with India for the last 70 years.

Read up on the Indus River Treaty.

What if India scraps the IWT?

What if you lose IOK in future?

That's exactly my point. We need to get back IoJK first before constructing any dams.

All 100%of it? No. Technically they can't. have a look at the terrain of IOK. Not everywhere can you build a barrage or a dam or a diversion. You have to take soil type, bearing capacity, porosity, soil compoaition etc in mind and calculation before decide where to build the dam. They matters alot. Also, every diversion canal will have a limit capacity exceedign which it will cause floods in surrounding areas, so Indians are not capable of and not mad enough to divert 100% of river water 100% if time. So? You will not always, but still, have enough water. Let me tell you, and its a guess, even if India built 50 billion dollar worth dams and barrages in IOK we will still be getting water.

They can definitely divert waters of chenab and jhehlum. Both are vital for us. To some extent they can dam indus as well

Nobody can store all the water that rains from the heavens. Case in point the recent dam spillages in the US where 2 dams broke.
