Pakistan should first respect India before resumption of cricket: BCCI

Indeed ?

Check the number of nations who boycotted or were kept out Olympics for political reasons , it might help you.

Some leads:

In 1936, Spain boycotted the Berlin Games over political differences with the host country and tried (and failed) to setup an alternate event with labor and socialist groups. In the same year, Ireland boycotted over the division of Northern Ireland from their official team. The United States considered boycotting these Games over Hitler’s treatment of Jews, but a flawed fact-finding mission convinced the nation to send competitors.

The two 1936 boycotts set a precedent that was used many times in the 20th century.

The 1956 Melbourne Games had three sets of boycotts. Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden boycotted over the Soviet Union’s invasion of Hungary. In a separate political demonstration, Egypt, Lebanon, and Iraq boycotted over the Suez crisis.

That same year, The People’s Republic of China (PRC) refused to participate alongside The Republic of China, more commonly known as Taiwan. This dispute would last for 32 years, with the PRC only returning to the Games in 1984.

Twenty-six African nations boycotted the 1976 Montreal Games because the IOC refused to ban New Zealand for participating in a rugby tour in then-banned South Africa (more on this later.)

The Cold War-era saw a variety of boycotts for political reasons connected to the conflict. Notably the United States refused to participate in the 1980 Moscow Games because of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. A total of 62 countries skipped that year’s Games including Japan and West Germany. Four years later, the Soviet Union boycotted the 1984 Los Angeles Games officially for “security reasons,” though it was widely seen as a retaliatory measure for the 1980 mass boycott.

The 1988 Seoul Games would be the last with a large-scale boycott. North Korea refused to attend the Games in South Korea after they were not named as a co-host. Ethiopia and Cuba also boycotted out of solidarity with North Korea.
so the trend has stopped since the 80's since there has been common ground around the world that sports and politics shouldn't mix together.

nice to see India still towing the line dropped by countries around the world since 1980's before i was even born.

Indian pre dates 60s mindset needs to change.

Look at the recent peace between North and South Korea due to both countries sending their athletes to compete in winter olympics in Korea. which has lead to peace in the region and after decades of hostility between America and both the korean nations today Trump and Kim Jung are calling each other to have meetings to sketch out a peaceful resolution.

Politics and sports dont mix together except in backward country like India

. .
People in India still takes pride in the name 'India' coined by the masters, the Britishers...even the country name is borrowed from the former masters, talking about the enslaved mentality.
So ?

How is your lame reply even remotely connected to the question posed ?

It’s more to do with self respect and telling a immature person / nation where they stepped off the line

It may seem alien to those who take U turns on a phone call

Sports and politics don't mix.

Indians have been slapped in the face regarding mixing sports and politics and proven wrong by North Korea, south Korea and America after the Norths participation in the winter olympics this year lead to comprehensive dialogue and talks of long lasting peace. Peace has returned to the korean peninsula, India as a nation doesnt want peace it seems. Using 60's style politics of mixing sports and politics in the era of globalisation just doesnt look good anymore.

.
If you have been refused a favour in the past and you come back again requesting the same....its called begging. It might offend you but its begging. If you still feel India is the one without respect then you people should stop begging from the one without respect, otherwise its actually you who has no respect.

North Korea, South Korea and America using the winter olympics in S korea as foot path to peace is the ulimate slap on Indian mentality of mixing sports and politics together which countries around the world ditched in the 80's

India is the only backward country in the world trying to justify mixing sports and politics together in 2018.

.
PCB company and its interests.. not Pakistanis nor they care about dignity of Pakistan as clearly evident from there stance. i as Pakistan wouldn't give two hoots if the govt ban cricket in Pakistan let alone caring about playing with bharatis.
True that.
Especially when both the nations are facing crisis at all fronts.

Instead of going all over with your meandering posts what will it take to get in the head that India does not want to play a series with Pakistan ?!

.
Why are we even discussing this for pages ? What good will we have for playing Pakistan ?

I don't see any merit in playing with them.

The days of Indo Pak rivalry and waiting for the game day are gone. It doesn't interest us anymore.

Oh c'mon you should not compare yourself to the peaceful North Korea now.

atleast you admit Indians are living in the stone age with this kind of mixing sports with politics analogy

Oh c'mon you should not compare yourself to the peaceful North Korea now.
Indians can learn alot from 'peaceful North Koreans'

backwards country mixing sports and politics in 2018.
