Senate Chairperson Sadiq Sanjrani.

ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairperson Sadiq Sanjrani cancelled an official visit of his parliamentary delegation to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honoured on his recent tour to the Gulf nation amid the crisis in occupied Kashmir.

Sanjrani was scheduled to visit the UAE from August 25 to August 28 on the invitation of the UAE government. His delegation was to hold meetings with the UAE parliamentarians and government officials.

The Senate chairman, however, decided to cancel the trip as Pakistan vehemently supports Kashmiri peoples’ right to freedom from Indian occupation and condemns India’s atrocities in the occupied valley, a statement from the Senate Secretariat said.

Modi was awarded the UAE’s highest civilian honour on Saturday, as a human rights crisis brews in occupied Kashmir with the Indian government continuing its clampdown in the disputed territory. The Indian prime minister was conferred the award at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi during his first visit to the UAE capital after winning the recent elections.

Indian forces meanwhile continued their lockdown of occupied Kashmir for the 21st day on Sunday, after India withdrew Article 370 of its constitution that gave a special status to the disputed territory.

Indian authorities continued to impose strict curfew and other restrictions across the valley, preventing Kashmiris from holding demonstrations against the occupation and end of the special status for Jammu and Kashmir.

Hahaha lol. SMQ has said lately that UAE is our friend

.
Useless decision. We can't cut our whatever ties we have with gulf states. Pakistan should've used diplomatic channels to show disapproval but not such steps cutting it's own self and providing more opportunity to bharti terrorists.

Seems like this smq guy is complete clueless, throwing nonsense statements and making stupid decisions left and right.

. .
So a person known as butcher of gujrat for spilling blood of muslims, and then he goes persecuting millions of muslims in an illegally occupied territory. And you honor him, award him, wow, ummah chummah pummah.

Your opinion and even I don't agree with you.

.
Draw a line, on one side those that stand with Kashmir and on the other, those that stand with the fascist regime of India. UAE is shown which side it is on.

Cut all imports of the port of Dubia.

When, you are taking a loan of $6 Billion, with no collateral, there is only so much, you can do to criticize the lender.
Actually our people are so humble, Pakistani people did alot for these arab shiekh that now they think Pakistan as there satellite slave state. Now Pakistan gave them reality check, they are unable to absorb. Atleast now Pakistani knows where they stand.....its not good , its excellent. To emerge as nation and think Pakistan is there ultimate homeland these type of lessons are necessary.
Pakistan did alot for these arabs. Check the pages of history. Any Pakistani don't need to be humble.

Immature diplomatic move!!!Based on my epxerience in PDF, one thing i understand, Gulf stood with Pakistan on economic front at the time of crisis..When your thousands of people getting job and the same country stood for you at your recent economic crisis, then undermining them is like your punishing your friend...Rather engage with them diplomatically and understand their POV...
What is the big deal in giving some awards to some one???Even India and Pakistan fought with each other and still then we may have rewarded with prize to each other at different level..

There was no need to do that. We don't need UAE for our affairs. Even China might sign a business deal with India in coming days.
So, useless step.

It is the other way around, you have the timeline wrong.

Pakistan rejected to join GCC alliance against Houthis , through a joint parliamentary session last year..where as, it was only recently Imran Khan was in Emirates door steps , asking them to save Pakistan from bankruptcy, and they gave you $6 Billion, without any preconditions or questions (unlike the IMF).
