Pakistan seeks peaceful settlement of South China Sea
FO says Pakistan favours a negotiated approach

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan on Tuesday urged to resolve peacefully the recent South China Sea dispute between China and the Philippines.


In response to a question about the dispute between China and the Philippines in South China Sea, Foreign Office spokesperson Tesnim Aslam said that Pakistan was aware of the recent developments in South China Sea. Pakistan favours a negotiated approach for a peaceful settlement of the claims in South China Sea as laid down in the framework of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties, she said.
