Pakistan Army today asked India to produce "actionable evidence" on its claim that a Pakistani special forces team sneaked across the LoC, beheaded two Indian security personnel and mutilated their bodies.

The issue was discussed during a hotline contact between the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India this morning to defuse the tension.

"Pakistan rejected Indian allegations of ceasefire violation and mutilation of bodies of Indian soldiers," according to a statement issued by the army.

Pakistan DGMO Maj Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza told his Indian counterpart Lt Gen A K Bhatt that neither ceasefire violations occurred in the Sector (pointed out by India in the mutilation allegation), nor crossing of the LoC by Pakistanis troops have taken place.

"Pakistan Army is a professional military outfit and upholds the highest standards of conduct.
Allegations of mutilation are an Indian attempt to divert the attention of world from situation within the Valley," Mirza claimed.

A junior commissioned officer and a Border Security Force head constable were killed and their bodies mutilated by the Pakistan army team which sneaked about 250 metres into the Indian territory along the LoC in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan's border action team crossed into the Indian side as the Pakistan Army launched heavy rocket and mortar firing on two forward posts in the Krishna Ghati sector.

The Pakistan DGMO asked his Indian counterpart to provide "actionable evidence" related to the incident and urged the Indian army to look inwards to probe the incident, the army statement said.

He said that Pakistan was fully committed to maintain peace and tranquillity along the LoC. He accused Indian troops of continuously targeting innocent civilians on LoC and apprised the Indian General that continuity of such action would invite appropriate response.

"Any misadventure shall be appropriately responded at a place and time of own choosing," the Pakistan DGMO warned.

The DGMOs contact followed after the local commanders level hotline contact was established last night at Rawlakot- Poonch sector on LOC between the army authorities of the two countries, the army statement said.

Local commanders of Pakistan also told Indian counterpart that no ceasefire violations was committed by their side.

"Indian counterpart was told that there has been no ceasefire violations from Pakistan side nor mutilation of Indian soldiers' bodies. Indian authorities were told that there is unnecessary media hype following the allegations,” the army said.

The statement also said that Pakistan remains fully committed to maintaining peace and tranquillity along the LoC and expects the same from the other side.

Pakistan Army said it hopes prudence is exercised and no steps are taken that may lead to the vitiating of the environment and affect peace along LoC.

The incident evoked a sharp reaction from India with Defence Minister Arun Jaitley saying such attacks do not even take place during war and that the whole country has full faith in the armed forces.

"Bodies of soldiers being mutilated is an extreme form of barbaric act. Government of India strongly condemns this act. The whole country has full faith in our armed forces which will react appropriately to the act," Jaitley had said.

.
Consider this;
  • If India accepts two of its soldiers were killed and mutilated by Pakistan's special force then this is a "SURGICAL STRIKE BY PAKISTAN".
  • now the funny part is that Pakistan, the agressor says it DID NOT conduct a SURGICAL STRIKE while India insists Pakistan did, and
  • the "aggressor" is asking about evidence while "victim" is hiding it.
so Indian... That is so freaking Indian grade story.

Its more than that

They admit Pakistan SSG entered atleast a quater mile into India.

Laid a trap

Cornered and hunted a indian army patrol of 10 SOLDIERS

KILLED AND BEHEADED TWO

INJURING A 3RD

WHILST THE OTHER INDIAN SOLDIERS RAN OFF

Then SSG then marched out of india

First of all SSG is one hell of a special forces group

Second indians should look to cover this humiliation of a real surgical strike up

No such thing as concrete indian evidence is going to come.

This incident is just going to feed indian news cycles and talkshows.

All indian political parties are going to get some political milage out of it. Some threats will be made and then everything will be buried under the new news cycle.

Tragic. Profiting from death is not noble.

I, as human being, wish no loss of any form of life...human or otherwise.

Kashmir has only one solution. Let the Kashmiris decide their fate.

Otherwise, loss of life will continue. Totally unnecessary.

Indian stories are worse than lies, rotten tomatoes or pile of filth. We should let them roll in their own stories and burn themselves in anger. Their hatred can cause them migraine or stomach ulcers - but not bend a blade of grass in Pakistan.

And when it comes to dealing with Indian aggression then Pakistan is satisfying them more than sufficiently. Pakistan shouldn't even be bothered about Indian grade stories.

.
It's not first time Indian claiming it:yawn: ok ok ok what we got in positive to humiliate the dead one? ok ok ok we got Indian propaganda ok ok ok than again question raised why we need that? Ok ok ok keep it up that RR and RIP to dead one.

.
:what: Here we go back to square one. We get it, the evidence will do little to nothing... calling a spade a spade that's all

First of all, admit that poor, hungry and unequipped Pakistani soldiers crossed over inside India, killed and took their time in molesting bodies of Indian soldiers and returned without a scratch? What was the mighty Indian defense doing during this time? Do you admit that Pakistan conducted a Sir Jee Kal strike inside India?

On a serious note, isn't it possible that an artillery shell landed at the feet of the soldiers and the force of the blast beheaded them?

The irony is that there was no ceasefire violations by either side in the said sector.
Just like the Indian surgical strikes circus and later Chandu Lal's case of desertion, the Indians even for this event have come up with some half dozen versions.
In all earnest either the Indian soldiers died elsewhere or it was another fratricide incident but it was an ideal opportunity to divert all the attention from recent events....
One can judge the Indians psyche from the fact that the 25 Indian soldiers killed by Maoists last week some of whom actually were mutilated received any attention or condemnations....but mention Pakistan and all your troubles are away.

.
why not 700 soldiers and 200 posts. but do you deny that this was a surgical strike
Such action has been happening in past too from both side. This cannot be called Surgical strike as other then 2 lives no further asset has been damaged.

The whole meaning and reason of Surgical strike is to eliminate certain threat deep inside enemy territory which can inflict damage across. In this case, there was no such threat.

Read this now:

The army dismissed on Tuesday television news reports that India destroyed Pakistani bunkers and killed “several enemy” soldiers across the border in Jammu and Kashmir in a retaliatory attack after the beheading of a military officer and BSF head constable.
