RAWALPINDI: (APP) Colonel General Istrakov Sergei Yuryevich, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Russia, who is on official visit to Pakistan, called on General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

According to ISPR, matters related to regional dynamics and professional interest came under discussion

Further strengthening of bilateral security and defence cooperation between the two Armed Forces was reiterated. The Russian Deputy Chief of General Staff applauded the professionalism of Pak Armed Forces and acknowledged sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in war against terrorism.

few years ago the Russians completely changes their policy on defence exports to if you got the cash you can but it. We speculate on a lot of things but the truth is they will sell if you have the money and pay for it.

It depends many of the major deals deals Russia has signed with countries like India are in the billions, clearly out of the reach for Pakistan.
But at least it has allowed for the local industry to grow.

These meetings should be held regularly not just for the interest of both nations but for the betterment of Region as well. Seems like, Pakistan-Russia relations are moving ahead and strengthening more as such meetings were not seen in past but time changes. Hope for more cooperation in fields of interest for both Nations.

Russia offered us MI 28 back in 2014 and also 3 Air Defence systems you need to ask Pakistani authorities why are they now pursuing the offer.
