Did You even read the bloomverg report, It clearly said Rupee is the worst performing Asian currency among its Big Emerging Market (BEM) peers ie Indonesia, China, South korea.

Pakistan is obviously not considered as a Big Emerging Market :)

Indians transact on Rupees not on Dollars and $ 1.9 x 70 = Rs. 133

Governments Canteen like "Indira Canteen" is charging Breakfast @ Rs. 5/- and Lunch @ Rs. 10/- and normal hotels will charge between Rs. 20-50 for breakfast & South Meal per person and including his accommodation I think Rs 120/- per person is more than sufficient to live in my place.

5 years is not sufficient to uplift entire population from poverty it is a continues process and UPA rules for 10 continues years and brought Poverty line from 37.2 percent in 2004-05 to 21.9 percent by 2011-12 and Modis NDA tenure is from 2014 and details above are of 2011 estimates not 2018.

On September 5 2017 INR was 64/$ which means in exactly 1 year it has depriciated by 12.2%

On September 5 2017 PKR was 103.9/$ which means in exactly 1 year PKR has depreciated by 19.6%.

@BHarwana Very very bad news for Pakistani economy. No wonder Pakistan hardly gets any FDI (15 -20 times less than India) and growth is much slower than Indian economy.

@BHarwana 19.6% fall is HUGE. Very bad.
SBP unable to support PKR.

In 1990 PKR was 70% more valuable than INR.

Now just 28 years later the situation is exactly reversed thanks to the mighty Indian economy.
INR is now 70% more valuable than PKR.

Sorry man I forgot, that in that list all other countries transact their day to day affairs in Dollars. And by your logic people in Venezuela must be living in a paradise since 1 USD = 250k Venezuela Bolivar. To be fair I only commented on the post with that tweet because the thread starter posted with a bad source. A source that gives out rubbish stats with out any data.

Now according to your provided link, India is at 21.9 %, where as Pakistan is at 29.5% in population below poverty line. And just let that figure sink in, your 22% mean 290 million people that's more than our whole population. Pakistan had a lot of issues from the start, military governments, continuous breakdowns in democratic processes, breakage from Bangladesh, Soviet war in Afghanistan, then 9/11 Afghanistan war, Afghanistan immigrants (now to be fair I excluded all war's with India, just so that you don't bring them up). WE have had a lot of valid reasons and excuses to be behind, but what about YOU? You were a democratic state from the start, what fkin happened? You should have been miles not just mildly ahead. And then you come here and say that I shouldn't be talking about Modi.

Bro have you ever compared inflation with currency ? Venezuela is floating on record inflation i.e,% of 5 "O" s after 1 and India is below 5% and you are comparing with that ?

No where i said India is Great or Shining, I salute your capacity & ability to read beyond what i have written. India has lot of problem and though we have issues we are progressing and we always work towards light at the end of tunnel instead of other way around.

I never brought Pakistan into poverty line discussion or compared it. Since you have brought in, Pakistan was leaned towards Western Countries since early 1950s where as India was with USSR and all know how both fared in economic reforms. Giving excuses for policy failures, you must be joking as Korea & Japan had more devastating problems than India & Pakistan.

I am repeating what i said i will say wah wah MMS wah wah as it is MMS who showed our mistakes and methods for rectifications and ABV or NaMo just following it, that's the greatness of Indian Democracy. Whoever might lead the Govt, policies drawn for reforms continue.

Latest data from Forex.pk shows that PKR is down 19.65% from 1 year ago compared to INR which is down only 12.5% in same period.

@BHarwana. Very very bad news for Pakistan, not only is Pakistani growth rate stagnant and forex reserves too low. Very high external debt.
Rupee has performed quite bad too.

1.9 $ mean 1.9$ stop converting into your countries currency and try to justify that how a person in India earning that much amount is well fed. I mean the first step of solving the problem is understanding it first. When you try to justify that he is earning sufficient amount, then you are facing away from the problem. Now 290 Million people is figure from the link you provided and that is a lot of fkin people. Like my mind is blown k jitni Pakistan ki population hai uss se 90 million ziyada laug India me poverty line se neechay hain.

I am not mentioning you in particular. I talked about a general tone of Indians who speak about India that its all good with minor deficiencies here and there.

Well I was comparing India to Pakistan in that situation. Korea and Japan weren't nuclear states, all their focus was on their nation and people after losing to US and US providing them security for being subservient to US. Korea is a very small country, it can never be a super power. Similarly you cant compare Germany, European countries too different situation. These countries had to sacrifice their sovereignty over what they have today.
