Pakistan rebel group warns China of harsher attacks

Baloch Liberation Army threatens Beijing with ‘even harsher’ attacks unless China halts ‘exploitation projects’ in Pakistan.

27 Apr 2022

A Pakistan separatist group on Wednesday warned of more violent attacks on Chinese targets, a day after a suicide bomber killed three Chinese teachers posted from Beijing to the southern city of Karachi.

The Baloch Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack which killed three Chinese teachers and a Pakistani driver near the gate of the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi.

A female bomber detonated explosives next to their minibus.

“Hundreds of highly trained male and female members of the Baloch Liberation Army’s Majeed Brigade are ready to carry out deadly attacks in any part of Balochistan and Pakistan,” a spokesman for the group, Jeeyand Baloch, said in a statement published in English.

The spokesman threatened Beijing with “even harsher” attacks unless China halts “exploitation projects” and “occupying of the Pakistani state”.

Chinese nationals and business and investment interests have regularly been targeted by separatists in Balochistan, where Beijing is involved in lucrative mining and energy projects. Baloch separatist fighters have been fighting for a greater share of their province’s natural resources for decades, mostly focusing attacks on natural gas projects, infrastructure and the security forces.

In recent years the group has started attacking Chinese projects and workers.

A security official at the university said he had previously raised concerns about the safety of the 15 Chinese staff on the campus.

“Reports emerged in February that an attack might be carried out on campus,” the source, who asked not be named, told the AFP news agency.

The bomber was identified as 30-year-old Shaari Baloch, a married mother of an eight-year-old girl and four-year-old boy, the Baloch group said, adding that she was a science teacher studying for a master’s degree at the university.

Suicide attacks by women are very rare in Pakistan, reported only four times in recent years.

China’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the attack on its nationals and has demanded Pakistan punish the perpetrators and prevent such incidents from happening again.

“Belt and Road”

Balochistan and its deep-water port in Gwadar are a major link in China’s Belt and Road network of infrastructure and energy projects stretching to the Middle East and beyond.

In April 2021, a suicide bomb attack at a luxury hotel hosting the Chinese ambassador in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, killed four and wounded dozens.

The ambassador was unhurt in that attack, which was claimed by the Pakistan Taliban.

In July last year, a bus carrying engineers to a construction site near a dam in northwestern Pakistan was hit by a bomb, killing 13 people including nine Chinese workers.

The attack, which went unclaimed, frayed relations between Islamabad and Beijing, and Pakistan later paid millions in compensation to the families of the Chinese workers killed.

Everyone loves their dear lives, this threat will truly scare the hell out of the Chinese nationals intending to visit or work in Pakistan.

And what are we going to about it
Nothing- cold truth

You lack the finances to truly end it and that out of the box thinking is also missing

Imma be honest the older Pakistani uncles absolutely loathe young talent. There’s a lot ov
Youth in this forum or even in Pakistan who can think up of interesting and good ways to tackle this problem. But you will never see their voice or talent be utilized.

In any normal country if you support and openly voice solidarity with terrorists they will take you away. In Pakistan you can easily find 100s of people on Facebook or on Twitter openly supporting TTP/BLA and these are real profiles and they live in Pakistan. Absolute sad state of affairs.

Completely understandable, and it would be the same if the roles were reversed and Pakistanis were threatened in China.

Unfortunately, I don't think the Pakistani government can guarantee the safety of all Chinese civilians. I think Chinese nationals should only come to Pakistan for very specific projects where there is a higher level of security provided, like dam projects. Visits for cultural exchanges, tourism should be avoided, as they are soft targets.

Our condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their loved ones in KU terror incident.
Dear, the present installed setup even not able to provide the security of the public of Pakistan, what they will do good for our Chinese guests/friends. They are on a looting spree and will stuff the money in foreign countries.
The present system has its strings from the USA and not in Pakistan. We see very hard times for Pakistan and its people ahead until the 'responsible' get to senses and open their eyes.

Well we have endured for 20 years under this direct attack, that's a feat in itself. The selfless sacrifices rendered by our forces are so outrageous, even we would not believe if we ever knew them fully.Right now the enemies are out of moves, so it's kind of a stalemate. It's only a matter of time.We shall spring into offensive soon, and we don't need money for that, we never did. I still can't believe we lost more than 100 billion dollars in this war, if we never had it, how did we lose it??

That's how a minority imposes its will on the majority:

i. We won't let Kalabagh Dam build. We will blow its foundations.

Ii. We won't let OIC summit hold in Pakistan. We will give sit-in in the parliament.

III. We won't let CPEC complete. We will attack harshly.

It is revealing there's one master behind all these puppits.

These issues will be sorted out. That's how it is important to stand with Imran Khan.

“occupying of the Pakistani state”.

Pakistan separatist group

Baloch Liberation Army

The separatist group is worried about Pakistani state which it doesn't recognize. Nothing more need be said.

The group is active in Iran and Afghanistan and prey on communal tribalism to operate.

A combing mission at all educational institutions is overdue for the last 2 decades. These universities have become a no go areas employing dozens of armed student organisations feeding separatist narratives from top to bottom.

Operation Searchlight 2 should be made part of overarching military doctrine of Rad al Fessad.

. . .
China has to deal with India as India is the one behind BLA and other terrorist groups attacking China, they had openly advocated that they are againat CPEC and they are also against development in Pakistan.
