ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri announced on Friday that the government wanted to build a Qur’an complex in the federal capital to preserve historical manuscripts of the Muslim scripture.

Talking to a group of journalists after attending an exhibition in Islamabad, he said that the authorities were also interested in publishing a new translation of the holy book that was acceptable to all Islamic schools of thought.

According to state-owned media outlets, Qadri maintained that his ministry was trying to ensure error-free publication of the Qur’an by recycling worn pages of the book in a systematic way.

He added that a ban had already been imposed on printing the holy verses from the book on inferior quality paper.

But I was born in the country that is between those two countries: Surinam (used to be known as Dutch Guiana).

Government should ensure a mechanism to this that no money earned from interest dealing and earned from businesses considered forbidden in Islam go in this project.

Why would i object to something written in sharia. I believe interest should be abolished completely from Pakistani banking system.
When Allah says we cant make money off of money i don't think anyone who does that should call himself a Muslim.

To all the off topic commentators: Islam is Islam. There is nothing like modern Islam or mullah Islam. It is unanimous in Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Masr, Jordan, Ethiopia, Malaysia etc.

we need a research center for comprehensive study of Quran, from Science to social science , law to justice , human rights to war fighting everything is in there, we just need brilliant minds to extract that information in the light of Sunnah of Prophet and give that to our people ..
