Would like to make a slight correction. Army aviation has been overhauling helicopters since early 80s. In 2005, the workshop celebrated the roll out of 100th helicopter overhauled. The facility carries out complete engine, structural and dynamic component overhaul of Puma, Alloeutte, Lama and UH-1H helicopters. Later it also started structural overhaul of Russian MI-8 and then MI-17 in 2003.
The present ceremony was probably the commissioning of facility upgrade to overhaul the MI-17 dynamic components (main gearbox, avionics, blades and hydraulics etc).

LCB formations have matured in to experienced and battle hardened units, and have filled the gap between regular Infantry and Spec Fcs, full fledged shock troops role.

Trained to deploy within hours anywhere in country.

Mi35 is part of this strategy, other elements in the planning.

I was reading a post by one of the test pilots who was operating the Z10s in Pakistan that China has made significant changes to Z10s on Pakistan's recommendation and USA has blocked sale of Engines for Pakistan T129s so they might not be coming as AH1s arent coming so we might go for Z10s which according to him are superior machines to T129s and even Zulus

Baji, z10 are not superior to T129 and AH- 1Z Viper and as far as I know there is no engine issue with T129 order.

how would they get airborne without an engine?

USA did not officially blocked the engine.

I just don't the the color used below the chopper I would have preferred a black color or for whole copter or chemo all over the helicopter

Or a simple grey

LCB would require nimble helis (AS350 B3 Ecureuil or Fennec) to operate in urban zones for AT Ops, not Mi-35.
Mi-35 can light up an area like bush fire.

Would be good in an Air Assault Opo, would bring troops and material in and fly wounded out.
I wish we had invested in trying to build (via license or partnership) something like the H125 Fennec.

Between civil services usage through carrying SOF to maybe even firing a rocket-pod OR ATGM, seems like an awfully useful and heavily scalable platform. Buying out the SW-4 (Leonardo isn't getting any sales out of it) from Leonardo (like Turkey had with the T129) would have been a really interesting approach...

Sir,
A combo of Mi-35 and Mi-17 can do the job very well.

Mi-35 remain on station after dropping off troops and provides covering fire.
Mi-17 brings in more troops, ammunition and extracts the wounded.

This could have proved to be a good scout heli also apart from the roles you mentioned. Put a few useful sensors on it also.
