Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research (PILER) Executive Director Karamat Ali has urged India's Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde to help implement the long-pending visa liberalisation agreement between the two countries.
Ali called on Shinde to support the proposal of issuing Multiple Entry EPR Visas to peace activists, trade unionists, human rights activists and cultural groups from Pakistan, the Daily Times reports.
Karamat said ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) should not be used as an excuse by the two governments to stall implementation of an already agreed upon issue.
According to the report, Shinde had agreed to consider a list of 50 selected Pakistanis which PILER will forward to him in the coming days.
