Pakistan needs diplomatic push to exit FATF grey list

Without banning all political parties, Pakistan will struggle to come out of grey list.

its all politically motivated victimization of Pakistan. We should try our luck though.

How come US gets away with funding and financing terrorist organisations around the world too? You can't have double standards and expect people to follow you, they may follow you out of fear but their hatred for your country would only get worse.

All those in the list are countries which dont have good relations with US or its friends.
But no matter what they say, Pakistan will be the one to get rid of India in the end. Its just a matter of time when modi will give us a chance.
India is not close to USA. You can see that by the fact that USA supplies no technology to India. You call a country as close partner when there is technology sharing. Also, here, Pakistan has been placed in grey list with only Turkey opposing. Countries like Malaysia, GCC also did not oppose. India has its own diplomatic might, not via USA.

Pakistan is currently using Indian muslims as proxies and that may result in India declaring war on muslims. But that will affect all others including GCC. India has put a direct statement that any attack routed via Pakistan regardless of proxy or direct, India will regard entire Pakistan as responsible and take unitive action regardless of whether it affects anyone else. In return for India to tolerate Pakistan, these countries are forcing Pakistan to stop proxy warfare.

If Pakistan wants to be part of the current world order, then Pakistan must behave in a disciplined manner. It is true that there is a cold war but it is also important to be disciplined. Pakistan can either be part of the world order or start open war

FATF is a tool to do this. None cares whether you hate more or less as it is already confirmed that there is war. The only choice is between "cold" or "hot" state of war. It is about "capability" rather than intent being considered

Bottom line is that Pakistan must make a choice:
1) It wants to be part of current world order and maintain state of cold war; or
2) It wants to fight open war either direct or proxy

With Pakistan getting IMF loan, Pakistan will not be put on the blacklist. It may remain on the greylist. The last thing international lenders want to see is Pakistan being put into a position that will further weaken its financial position to repay loans.

Time to arm twist the americans in Afghanistan.

An empty threat. Pakistan is keen to get US out of Afghanistan. The sooner things are settled in Afghanistan the better it will be for Pakistan economically, especially CPEC.

I really feel bad for Pakistan when you realise how much money is laundered through London on a daily basis while they’re regulators are doing nothing. Same with Dubai which does no checks on dirty money flowing in there - but only Pak is on the FATF list!

London, the money-laundering capital

Strong nations will always get away with things weaker nations will not.

With India on the FATF panel , FATF itself is a terrorist organization!

India only has one vote. Its influence on FATF is overrated. Now that Pakistan is getting IMF loan, FATF will take a less strident approach towards Pakistan. After all, lenders want their money back.

i think Pakistan should be placed on Black list... FATF is the only tool which Pakistan can use to bring looted money back..

How? Once looted money is out of Pakistan, it's gone forever. Pakistan is realizing how difficult it is to get this money back. The only way to get some of it back is an amnesty of some kind, which they are considering doing.

That money is also used in terrorists funding by political parties..

It'll only get seized in the respective country. Looted or not, no country would ever want to pay any money which they have no benefit. If the assets are freezed, then it'll benefit the host country and not Pakistan. You need more political clout to get the money back.

India have tried to get it, only with little to no success. Best way is to freeze their assets in Pakistan and auction them off because the money taken outside is gone.

The reason why Pakistan is special compared to Dubai or London is that Pakistan directly hosts terrorist organisations on its soil. It is a different thing to finance terror elsewhere compared to keeping them within the border. What Pakistan is doing can even be called as an act of war.

Pakistan has to permanently close down all terrorist organisations, stop funding kashmir terorrists and ensure that no provocation or aggression comes from Pakistan to India. FATF only wants to ensure that Pakistan does not start a war by provoking India. If FATF does not sanction Pakistan even after Pakistan funding terrorists, then India may act on its own and other countries who also were with Pakistan have to suffer the brunt
Isn't it the india hosting the the terrorist organisations RSS BJP etc or maybe they are purified by your ganga you are not accustom to see your own faults

Even the americans found out the hard way there was no way without Pakistan, now they want Pakistan to help with the taliban. We can simply put this condition forward, you want our help, than help us here as well. This is no threat, but rather a simple transaction of mutual convenience.

Pull you out of the list for helping with negotiations?

Let's see after banning the banned outfits including their financial, movements, business everything what FATF will do regarding Pakistan.

If Pakistan will still be in grey list then there is no doubt FATF is biased toward Pakistan.

Pakistan has to arrest and sentence people like Masood Azhar whose JeM did car bombing in India. Without irreversible actions, it is not fulfillment. It is just eyewash which will be reversed soon after.

Afghanistan is giving nothing to USA. USA just wants to exit Afghanistan. What exactly is Pakistan going to help with in this case?

Wasn't he house arrested? UN & US never mentioned about booming in India in their final official documented verdict because there is no concert evidence yet, kindly talk on just facts, I am not a supporter of any terrorist.

FATF don't dictate about country's law & justice system it's a financial monitoring body on legality. So no one can dictate what should have done with him personally. yeah his assets, activities & everything was already been taken over by all provincials Govt of Pakistan including schools, hospitals, buildings. He has nothing left & Now Pakistan can't backtrack easily infront of world even after getting clearance by FATF.

Pakistan is taking steps against banned outfits one by one for her own interests not for another country.
