Pakistan military strongly denies 'fabricated' news from Afghanistan on border skirmishes
[Terminal X Desk]
Pakistan's military has finally come out in response to a recent spate of reports surfacing in the Afghan press which claim that their troops allegedly entered into Afghanistan and suffered 'huge loss of life and artillery'.
Earlier on Tuesday, various Afghan officials were quoted as saying that Pakistan Army had allegedly entered Goshta district to 'reconstruct midpoints' and that a response from Afghan forces resulted in 'killing of 30 troops and injuries to 30 others'.
These claims have been strongly rejected by a spokesperson of the Inter-Services Public Relations.
"Let this be absolutely clear that neither Pakistani security forces crossed into Afghan territory at Goshta, nor anywhere else along the Pak-Afghan border. Hence there is no question of casualties".
"This is a baseless and fabricated news", the spokesman concluded.
